i bought a dozen cedar arrows on **** before the summer. they have been in my shop most of the summer and when i got them out to shoot the first cool day they arent so straight anymore :banghead: . is there any way to straighten them or did i just learn an expensive lesson about storage and humidity. thanks,

I store my wood shafts inside (the house) tightly rubberbanded on both ends...
Your shafts are not that hard to straighten.. You can spend alot of money on "tools" but they are not needed.
I straighten by hand. Sight down the shaft finding the bend (you can also roll them on a flat surface), apply pressure on the opposite side of the bend with the meaty part of your palm. With a badly warped shaft you may need to apply heat to get the shaft to straighten.
A little practice and you will get good at getting the shafts close to perfect.
Remember that your wood shafts do NOT have to be perfectly straight like a carbon shaft. If your nock is installed properly on a "relatively" straight wood shaft,,,, it will fly correctly.

I am a litle straightening challenged so I bought me the Ace Roller straightner and LOVE IT ! Just roll the arrow till the high spot is sticking up off the flat surface, take the roller tool and roll that high spot right out. It works so good that sometimes if you roll too hard you will actually bend that arrow too far the other way. It only takes light pressure to get the bend out.
