i posted on here about my hunting area for 13 years being torched and destroyed.i drove the 300 miles a while back and i took a picture of this tree that is 100 ft from my campspot.this is also the same spot that my hunting buddy swears he saw a figure walk past the campfire one night while i was out listening for bugles.
this is a very strange picture i think.human figure look at the shirt collar on chest even the breast pocket.
i heard stories of an old bowhunter who went up on this mountain when terminally ill to die where he loved to be. makes ya think huh.
ps..pics will hopefully post tomorrow with some help from one very nice moderator ...thanks   :scared:

That'll get the gears in your mind turning on lonely campfire nights.
Wild for sure.

That photo gives me the willies....
Heck, I like it. Can't blame him.
That is a neat pic. The thread title "take a look at this pic" reminded me of 'hey, smell this!', so I almost didn't.
Cool thing about a burn area is you can see things that you normally wouldn't with all the brush. You get a better perpective of where things are in relation to one another. A great opportunity to scout.
Prudy strange :scared:
With the bow visible I would say someone had a great time with a propane torch creating that "work of art".
Wow is all I can say...
Great pic.
this is completely natural with no hoaxing ...i swear to you as a man (to the doubters)
never noticed a bow eric....good eye
Cool!!
now thats Karma.
The bow extends beyond the tree....
I saw the "bow" right away. I think I have an eye for the abstract. I think it is a sign of good things to come. I wouldn't find it spooky. I would find it calming and peaceful being a bowhunter.
old bowhunters never die, they just ....
...and it looks like his dog went with him...very cool picture...
Awesome pic...maybe a sign you need to be huntin there...biggest buck (160"+)I ever saw on the hoof was in a month old "burnover"...I was huntin the thicket that ran below beside a creek...I figured the deer would funnel around that burn...That big dude waltzed right across the middle of it...the most deer sightings on that place were the years they burned...
David
it is burned into tree danny...thats the strange part of it all to me.i will be hunting that same area next week for 5 days.i forgot to mention...elk sign everywhere and grass is green so lucky me i hope...and wheres the dog in pic? not seeing that one at all. :wavey:

Did anyone notice the "face" pushing out of the tree above the right shoulder of the burn?
now that you mention it....
Cool picture and great sentiment. I told my kids that on the way to the nursing home to drop me at the closest river and I will fish till i drown. Beats drooling in the corner
Look good and you can see two dogs... or wolfs
One on the bottom left, looking up at the mans face with his ears back.
now i'm gettin freaked out
still cant find a dog...derrrrrrrr
Look at the grain pattern just below the knot at the top Left of the picture, It looks like another face poking out to me.
man. If this thing had been the virgin mary you'd have been set. At an auction site!
they'd have forgotten all about that grilled cheese sandwich.
up for bids.....one 100 ft pine tree with pic of man burned into it....hmmmmm...wonder what shipping would be ? :D :D :D :banghead:
lol don't forget the handling. make a few more dollars.
ttt :scared: :scared: :scared: :scared:
Cool.....but freaky.
I saw the dog but I thought the face on the left was more like a mountain lion.
