Well, the long wait finally came to an end last week just before we evacuated due to Ike.
In the Spring of 2006 my partner and I cut down a nice mesquite tree from his ranch and sent a nice piece to Jack in Canada to use in the riser of two bows we wanted made. He and I have been hunting his ranch together since we were 12yrs old (over 25yrs) and thought a piece of the land in our bows would be a nice touch. We decided to have identical Kwyk Styks made, and call them the Texas Twins, and left the rest up to Jack. It took over a year for the mesquite to dry and he was only able to salvage enough to make a saddle for each bow. I only took a pic of my bow but her twin looks nearly identical and both are 58" and 54@28. We sure love Jack's work as we have 5 of his bows between the two of us.
Also, note the crazy looking zebra lams on the belly of the limb. Both bows have the same looking lams here too.

Very nice! I love those Kwyk StykS!!
Guss
WoW, VERY nice!! That black leather quiver compliments it nicely too!Just one more reason to push a Kwik Styk to the top of my must have list. Man I love Zebra wood.
My very first custome longbow is made of all Zebra wood.
Thanks fellas! I won that quiver on the St. Jude's Auction this year from JC. I figured black matches almost anything and it would be a nice fit for this bow since I have a TH Small Fry quiver on my other KS. It really did end up matching the woods better than expected. Jack does make one fine bow and it has the same specs as my other KS and shoots the same arrows just as well......even the broadheads. Sure was nice to have her ready to hunt out of the box:)
And my wife thinks mesquite is an ugly wood. Friend of mine builds rocking chairs out of it too beautiful!!!!
Now that you have a KS you need a Stealth I think I like my stealth as much or more than My KS both excellent shooters wuy?stop there my as well have one of jacks little grizzlys they also are excellent Jack Kemph is the man if you want a true custom Flat bow or long Bow of especilly a Recure 3 piece takebown the are fast and built to last my favorite bower bar non >> :notworthy:

That looks outstanding Whos going to score first I wonder. I was told your twin brother missed already.
Troy I'll be there in December to go deflate some hogs and just have fun. I will look at your bow and probably try to make deal right there.
