Thanks to Longbow Rookies post and Lin's recomendation, I'm gonna pick up a pair of Leupold Yosemite's, but not sure which harness system would work best for an archer, or if they are all mostly the same. One feature I read about which seemed useful was the quick release attachment (so if I wanted to pass them off without removing harness, I could).
Any suggestiond would be greatly appreciated.

I have been using a crooked horn for years and really like it.
Badlands just came out with a new bino carrier. Thinking about ordering one to try out. Even if it does not work well for bowhunting it should be outstanding for scouting. I would take a look at this one also.
A lot of ours just extend their bino strap and sling it across their chest. The bino's are out of the way and all you have to do is reach down and slide them up for use. Just another option for you to think about.

That's not a bad Idea Chris, the thing that concerns me most is having the binocs catch the string when shooting down from a treestand for instance. Could be unfounded, but having them slung to the left side might be a good alternative.

I just used the Leopold strap and added a bungee for around my back (with a nylon clip). I like it way better than what's for sale, and I made 2 for 5 bucks.
I have the single strap that came with my binocs but also the type that goes across both shoulders and holds the binocs to your chest. I like both, depending on the situation. If I'm wearing my side quiver I sling my binocs across the other shoulder and swing them back out of the way a bit when not using them. Also in a tree stand with a body harness I prefer to use the single strap to keep the bulk to a minimum. Pat
Personaly, I'd go with the single strap acrossed my chest.
Slide them up to use them,let go they slide back down out of the way. :thumbsup:
On my lighter weight bino's, I use the strap across the chest, with the binos ending up on your side under your arm. They are out of the way, but easy to get up for a quick look. On my larger sized 10x42, I use the Bino Buddy.
I agree w/Irish, smale binos sling across the chest but if they are 42s 40s use the crooked horns. nto had em hang my string YET.

Just picked up a strap from Swarovski that hangs on both shoulders and under each arm, holding binos against chest till brought up to use for 28$.
