Title: Carbon arrow help
Post by: woodslinger on September 13, 2008, 05:02:00 PM
What would you suggest for a cut past center 60# recurve with a fast flight string and 300 grains up front. My draw length is 28". If the type of bow matters it is a Puma by Brandon Stahl.

Lets here some suggestions.

I would say if ya shoot a 29" arrow an like the carbonwood 4000 would be about perfect. I shot them cut to 29.5" out of my 65# recurves with 250 up front and they flew perfect. Shawn

Yep, Shawn knows. I shoot the carbonwood 4000 with 100gr insert and 160 gr heads out of my 60-65# recurves. Also shoot AD trad heavies with 100gr insert and 200 gr heads As well as CT rhinos same weight up front.

With more than 150grs up front I'd go with a .340 spine arrow.

For 150g and under up front a .400 spine would probably be fine.
