thx for the applause. lol I got this camera for Cmas and I didnt get to use it much til lately. Loggers were demolishing our camp. :( I really have some high hopes seeing these nice bucks. We have never seen any bucks til Nov but looks like things are a changin. We got our food plots done yesterday morning just before this rain. I cleaned me out a few spots around a couple of them for different wind directions. Just might have to try and slip a broadhead thru a doe with my new bow.
What do y'all plant for food plots?
Just winter wheat. I would love to mix some clover in with it but we don't. Everything is getting so expensive. Wheat this year was almost $15 a bag!!
Winter wheat is one thing I can actually grow without killing.
yep. the deer love it. the clover will help the wheat but clover is even more expensive here. I just went down and checked the plots this morning. they are looking good so far. just gotta keep the turkeys out til the wheat can sprout.

Good luck. The day after I planted ours I went back for a forgotten tool and found turkey scratchings and dusting bowls all through it. I think it's time to thin THAT herd as well.
no doubt. we cant shoot hens here so makes it hard to thin em out but in reality we dont have that many. we usually have really good food plots and this year I think will be the same. we have alot of predators that keep the turkey population in check too.
