Just a little warning/heads up here....please, I'll say it again...PLEASE, do not believe all the negative talk/bashing of our very own Terry Green.
Terry never waivers in his quest to keep this site as the crown jewel of internet trad archery/ bowhunting. There's been a very disturbing trend for a bunch of guys to go to other forums and try to make him out to be some kind of traditional archery monster! The Adolf Hitler of TG, a liar, a cheat,etc.....
Don't believe it folks....all this nonsense is just that NONSENSE! I've seen the emails, I've seen paper work, I've seen PM's, I've seen the proof, I've seen the truth!.....If it wasn't for the fact that Terry was such a classy guy and won't stoop to the low level of these other "archery Icons", I guarantee he could set things straight, there's no doubt about it.
Terry is one of the finest men I've ever met! I'm extremely proud to call him a great friend. He's a family man first and foremost.He adores his wife and kids, they are his world! Again, I know this, because we've talked a lot about "things". We talk as much about family as we do bowhunting. I'm happy to say we're a lot alike.
Yes, we as moderators help do out, but the fact is this site is what it is because of Terry! His dedication, time, and effort to this site and it's members is unimaginable! His mission started out and is still today to have a site that showcases trad bowhunting in the most positive way possible. Plain and simple!
There's some folks out there that just couldn't "fit in" at TG for one reason or another. Those are the folks that like to run to other sites and try to show TG and Terry Green in a negative light. All that does is show anyone with a level head what these people are really all about.....not very classy,or whatever you want to call it.
So please, don't believe everything you read guys. Remember there's two sides to every story. As good as it would feel for a while to call these folks out with the real truth, it's just not worth stooping to that level......
I hope I got my point across...It was hard putting this into words....but I felt it needed to be said...thanx for reading

I like/perfer this site BECAUSE of Terry and all the moderators. The Internet is a funny place, you can say and do things you wouldn't do in public or in person. This site however holds the members to a higher standard. If you don't meet that standard it is your loss, don't blame Terry.

Well said Curt! I have had the pleasure of meeting Terry and his wife, and two classier people you'll never meet. Got to chat with Terry a time or two on the phone as well and he's always been on the level with me. I've also seen what others stoop to on other sites. If you hang out long enough in the background and observe, you'll see what some of those "fellers" are all about. I've been a member here for almost 3 years and have had "a cup of coffee" elsewhere. This is home. Thanks Terry for all you do for us, sorry you have to put up with the juveniles.

There will always be those who throw stones.....
Trad Gang is the only bowhunting site that I visit everyday. Because it is by far the best, with the best archers/hunters sharing ideas, a bit of fun teasing and 100's of years of bowhunting knowledge in good fellowship. Terry is a big reason why this continues. Matter of fact this site is so good I send $20 a year to make sure it continues.
Thank you to all who make it happen, esp. Terry.

I've been following a disturbing thread on another site with a lot of accusations being thrown out. With the level of rancor there, I assume that most likely Terry just doesn't want to bring himself down to their level.

It's a shame people have nothing better to do with their time than to bash on other people! All I can say is that for those who are doing the deed, I feel real sorry for them.
Terry, if you read this, the time you helped me with info on the Arrow Dynamics and providing me contact information, all I can say is the world could use more people like you.

I second the Amen!...Owlbait is right about the Internet being a funny place. I have said this before and will again......I can let my 13 year old son Skyler, look at whatever he wants too on TRAD GANG, and Tammy and I don't have to worry about it. There's not many places like that on the Internet....The reason, in my opinion, is the way it's ran.....AND the reason it continues to grow....Don

again i want to thank all the moderators who work so hard to keep this site up and running, it is without a doubt home to me. funny as i was not aware all the stupid crap was in high gear again on the other sites, thought it had been pretty calm.

This is the only site that I frequent so I have no idea what is being said.
I have been around here for awhile and have seen some of Terry's efforts to keep this place top notch.
This is by far the best site available and this is due to the dedication of Terry and the mods.
I believe we will see that Terry has the support of the vast majority of the folks here.
Keep up the great work fellas.

AND something else.....I've meet some great people thru TG and many have become very good friends....They are from all parts of the country and that would not have happened without Trad Gang. Thx for hanging in there Terry...

I'm usually up on all the "gossip", I must be out hunting too much...
I find when I get REALLY busy like right now, the only place I make time to get to is Trad Gang. That says a lot to me.
Folks need to use the natural BS filter attached to the top of their neck...

Curt...If it weren't for people like Terry and you and the other mods, I wouldn't be here. That's what separates this place from everywhere else. There's not always a bunch of bull@#$% going on. I'm proud to be a member here. Thanks, Curt for the heads up and Thanks Terry, for giving us a home in cyberspace...Hopefully one day I can share a hunting camp with you guys.

Tradgang is great! I visit this site every day looking for that special bow and visiting PowWow. I've purchased through this site and have felt very comfortable with the purchase transaction........ thanks to Terry and moderators. I do visit other sites, but question myself whether I would purchase/sell there.

I didn't even know any other sites were out there and honestly, I'm so happy with all the help avalible on this site I'm still not gonna know what other sites are out there. All you mods do a great job keeping the bull@#$% out and I say keep it up.

these people should just be dismissed as "idjuts" with too much time on their little hands, nothing more. Everybody in TG know Terry is a great guy. Why letting a bunch of yahoos get to us like that?

Never met Terry or Rob, but have traded emails with them both and have talked on the phone with Terry. Fine people, people to ride the river with if you know what I mean.
As soon as Terry opened this site I came here and have been here ever since. I do not go to the other sites at all anymore. This is my home and all Members are my family.
Never could understand why people would start rumors or bash their fellow human being.
Thank you Terry for giving me a place I can call home on this newfangled computer age stuff.

Danny, I shared a little with you while we hunted together...you don't know the half of it.
Thank goodness Terry doesn't pay much attention to the hype...or he might get discouraged. When you are on top, there's always someone trying to knock you down to their level.
It just goes with the territory, unfortunately.
Terry knows who he is, and knows we're here because of him, Rob, and the mods.

This is the cleanest , classiest site out there,the back biting and griping is almost non existent. I don't even check out the other sites anymore ,Trad Gang is head and shoulders above them!!!------Wayne

Funny, all the people Ive sent to this sight have had a thing to two to say about it after taking a poke around. Mostly comments like "Where are all the flames? Why no arguments? Whats all this good nature and getting along? Thats not the internet at all!!!".
I come here every day, Im always entertained and informed and down right delighted by the people and the posts I find here. It amazes me really, "give aways" to kids and new comers and old timers. Sage advice flows like water from a spring here.
For lack of a better description I find it very comfortable here and if thats due in any small part to Terry's actions then I think he should keep right on doing what hes been doing all along.

If those who "badmouth" Mr. Green had any stones at all, they would take their grievances up WITH Mr. Green.
Since that doesn't seem to be the case, I take it that these people don't have enough courage to even try to come to an understanding with Mr Green and/or the other moderators.
I am sure that Mr. Green loses no sleep over the infantile name game played by others.
Anyway, this site is a breath of fresh air. My appreciation goes out to the moderators, for the great job they do.

I havent been to the other site for quite some time because of all of the negitivity so i didnt even know that something like this was going on.
I am stunned that anyone would even say anything about Terry, the moderators or Trad Gang.
I started into traditional archery back in 03. The first site i found was the other one....if you even asked a question you would get all kinds of bad remarks....and i was brand spanking new and needed the advice! I was told by some of the good guys over there to try this site.
I was welcomed in with open arms, everyone was so friendly and helpfull. It made me realize that there were still good people out in the world....and learned that by and large most traditional archery people were just those kind.
This site has been nothing but a great place to meet fellow archers, find any answers you might have...and even just to shoot the breeze with!
Terry i just hate to see anything like this happen to a good guy. Im sorry you are having to go through it...but know that all of the real members here will always support you.

I've never been to any other sites so am in ignorance here, but must say this is distressing to me. I've read every post by Terry since I've been coming here and have never caught even a hint of negativity from the man. I have never met him[but hope to one day] but know that he is kind and has a lot of patience from his posts helping people with their shooting problems. He is respectful of people and his quarry as well. From this site I have actually gotten to know him and others as well, and a nicer more respectful bunch of guys I don't think you will find any where.

TG is my preferred site by a long long way. probably because Terry and co make sure that the site is useful ,informative and fun...for everyone.i recently had a stoush {regarding what i beleived to be some very offensive remarks} with a very well known hunter here and the topic was removed. I contacted Terry privately voicing my concerns and apologies...he got straight back to me and explained his jusitfied action in a polite and friendly manner .i can only offer my full support to Terry by continuing to give this site my patronage.as to the naysayers etc...i go by the old adage..."you will never win an arguement with an idiot"

I for one am very thankful to Terry and all the other moderators for their hard work and dedication put into this site. I have learned so much, and met so many good people through this place. Terry has always been great to me and does a wonderful job with TradGang. I didn't know about any bashing on other sites, but all you have to do is listen to the "leaders" of this country to know why so many people have decided that tearing down others in this country rather than working with them is the correct way to conduct their affairs. I am sick of politicians who behave that way, and I have no better feelings about others who follow the example set by those "leaders". It seems to me that Terry has been given an opportunity to lead by example and has chosen to rise above the pettiness of those who criticize him and instead simply work towards bringing people together that share a common interest in traditional archery. I am proud of him for setting such a good example for all of us to follow. Thanks Terry.

Terry runs a top-notch outfit here, and like Ray Hammond says, when you're the best, everyone wants to take a shot at you and try and nock you down. I've met Terry on a couple occasions, and recently met his lovely wife and have to say for all he's done by providing us with a respectful destination here, he seeks no praise and is a man of few words. But deeds say it all, for me. This place is the proof, heads and tails above the others. Thanks Terry, and take heart in the large "family" you got here, bud!

Well I have no idea what is going on since this is the only site I go no anymore but it is a same that people have to be this way towards another.
As with everyone else I really appreciate having the site and all the work that Terry and Mods do.
It sure has made my time across the pond a little easier to deal and has helped pass the time.

everything i know about traditional bowhunting came from tradgang, there is a wealth of knowledge and information on this site as well as some of the most genuine people around, iv made friends from America, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, UK the list goes on. That is all thanks 2 Terry and the moderators, who's work is much appreciated by most of the members. Fact is learnt how to shoot watching videos of Terry and Curt :thumbsup:

I must be a simple guy. I don't know of a site where such has been said, and if I did, it would not take me long to defend Terry. Every time I have met Terry I have thanked him for all he has done for "us' and for me personally, and he looks at me as if he doesn't know what I'm talking about! He is modest too. I'll say it again Terry. Well done and thank you for all you and the moderators do. I appreciate it!

I don't know what is happening. I have often wondered how much work it must be to maintain such a great site as TG. This is the only place I visit because it is such a stand up site. All I can say is Mr. Green has done an outstanding job here and I have not seen other wise.

A well-deserved tip of the hat to Terry from me as well. The sort of low-brow trash talk that can be seen on some other websites is not good for anyone. Unfortunately some folks just can't seem to follow the golden rule of "if you can't say something good about someone then don't say anything at all". I'm glad that the people who can't follow that simple guide aren't allowed to visit TradGang. It's a better place for all of us specifically because of Terry's (and the moderators') commitment and dedication to policing this site. Good job Terry!

It's been very difficult not to response to the mindless dribble and bashing that's going on over there..of course, that's just what this handful of hateful folks want, responses so they can continue to make waves and try to get under our skin by making this site and Terry look bad...the same handful of folks that couldn't or wouldn't fit into TradGang.

I for one would like to see the folks over there trashtalking to hear themselves talk, find that TG was not a place for them any longer. But I guess that is not our policy either. I reconize the names and handles as folks that ran into trouble here and were asked to straighten out but couldn't.
I guess I'm happy we have 17,000 folks that want to have a good place to go that does allow that sort of thing to happen,

The way TG operates is the reason that its the only archery site I spend time on. I check another once in a while, but find too much BS there for my taste.

This is the only site I go to as a rule also. I have visited breifly others but it doesn't feel like home there. I haven't heard what is being said and I don't want to know. You can't manage a site as well as this and not be an outstanding person. I have never met Terry but hope to some day. Until then, THANK YOU TERRY!!!

I used to be a mod on one of the largest Reformed theology discussion forums. It is a tough job if you take it seriously. On a large site you will most likely become an equal opportunity offender. Some want it tight, others want it loose, others just want to have a free for all.From what I can tell the mods here do a good job.

The amazing this is how people will try so hard to go out of their way to find fault in others. If the faults were so obvious than why does it take so much effort, time, and energy for these people to constantly be trying to pry up an edge so that they can reveal what they percieve to be something that is not the truth underneath. If it's so true then why is it not so obvious to everyone? I don't see Terry hiding!
The fact is that jealous and insecure people are the ones who are always yelling the loudest. They feel insecure because they do not feel they share the same light as others are receiving. God Bless them because they are the ones who actually need the most help.
I happen to know the leader of this wolf pack and I actually valued his friendship up until he became so viscious toward the world around him because his Limelight was not so bright as other around them. This guy actually thumps the Bible pretty hard too! Hard to believe a guy can hold a Bible in one hand and pure hatrid in the other.
For all of you involved in this thread, please try and understand that those who rock the boat the hardest are those who desperately need your attention the most. As you can plainly see by this thread, they are getting exactly as they wish. They have succeeded in getting under your skin. When this happens once it will most certainly continue.
Terry is a man first and foremost. I've known Terry for many years now and because he and I are both men, we both know we will make mistakes as we traverse life. I have not always seen eye to eye with Terry no different than he has not always seen eye to eye with me. The fact is that we are men and we are all supposed to be imperfect by design. I can only say this, for every fault that Terry has as a man he try's 10 times over to create good to offset his shortcommings. Fact of the matter is that when you are in the public eye you'll sooner or later become a target for those who feel they aren't getting enough light shed on themselves. This is why the insecure huddle in small circles and make each other feel better by bashing others who aren't like them. It simply makes them feel better about themself if they can somehow find bigger faults in others. Truth of the matter is that there is nothing that makes me more proud than to know they are talking about me. At least I know I am on the right track if I am the center of their attention. It's positive-vs-negative addage of old. It's al old as that Bible the main hater carries.
My suggestion to Terry-Be yourself!!!!! You will always be and do exactly what is supposed to be done as long as you are doing it for the right reasons in your own mind and you are not INTENTIONALLY trying to injure others. It's the injury to others that drives us
further appart as brothers, men, and as the Human Race. If you don't like Terry's way then go start your own site to make yourself "happy". IF HAPPINESS IS WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR. Hatrid toward fellow men solves absolutely nothing. Live and let live. We aren't designed to always agree. Carry-on Terry and just keep trying to do good and try your best to shake of those full of hate. You've got to know you did your best to help others
once your judgment day comes. If you should fall before then than you need to know there will be many more people beside you to pick you up than there will be to kick you back to the ground. Only pure evil would try so hard to constantly injure another man even if he did not agree with him.
If that happens I'll certainly be there to extend a hand to help you back up. You are afterall not expected to be perfect. CK

I believe those that know the truth aren't the ones whining about Terry. I have had posts yanked before and I understand the reason and was big enough to not let it bother me or run to another site and shoot off my mouth. But I figured I was in good company with yanked posts. I have learned far more from this site than any other site on any topic of interest I have. The moderators have an enormous responsibility to keep us in line with the purpose and goals of this site. I applaud their efforts and repsect them and the job they do.
I figure if some one feels the need to bad mouth another they aren't someone I would want to spend time with or be a friend of.
The number of users registered just this year is evidence of the quality of information sharing and gathering that goes on here. I am proud to be a part of this cyber camp and very rarely let another's opinions sway me or my attitudes.
I hope the loosers doing all the postings don't go away mad but rather just go away.

I will simply say that I have good friends on both sides of this matter. I enjoy both sites as well. There are good folks with strong convictions posting on both forums. I would love to know the whole story.

I dont know many other people that would take the time to make videos to help a newbie out with form, anchor, etc. Terry did that for me, and Im sure for many others.
The fact that he remains queit states alot about his character. Well done sir! I can honestly say that without Tradgang, and the great people I have met from it(Shawn, Curt, Mike, Chuck, Etc etc etc) I would probably still be a wheelie hunter.
My hat is off to all the mods, and to all the well versed trad nuts that constantly help people like me out. :clapper:

The thread in mention was started in order to find a certain LDB it was posted asking the question over here in earnest and it got deleted by a mod. Terry green was the last person to have the LDB supposedly. he purchased it. want more info go to the other site and read it. I have no problem with the man or this site. I just think the LDB question needs to be answered instead of avoided or deleted entirely. Here and the other sites i visit are great sites. i just wish that more people could have enjoyed the LDB and such.

TG is the only site I visit regularly. I get most if not all my information from this site. Everyone is more than helpful if you have questions. I like TG. It is Me! :clapper:

Hmmm.... not had much time for a while to check on things but I can tell you I consider Terry Green a good Friend, a good Man, and a tremendous asset to the Traditional Archery Community. It's too bad he has to be a target for so much trash talk. I can also tell you I know it is a huge job running, maintaining, moderating... a site like this. My name is up there on the Mod list but I do little compared to Terry and several others so I am very grateful for all the hard work they put out for no gain other than the personal satifaction of helping others.

I enjoy TG but there have been questions raised about the end of the auction for the LDB that should've been and still should be answered rather than deleted and MEMBERS banned for asking...especially by the better men at the better website.

Some of them folks remind me of those people you see standing and cheering for their favorite politician at rallies. Too blinded by hate to see the truth and too ignorant to care.
Heck I'd consider it a compliment if I were important enough to spend that much effort on!

Some folks just ain't happy unless they messing with something or somebuddy. The internet is unfortunatley a great means for those with hatred and too much time on their hands.
I have been very busy recently and have not heard or seen the current going's on but I have this to say.
I've been around here for a few years now and have seen this before. Jealousy does strange things to folks. I have met and hunted with Terry and can say he is not in this game for the money. It is his passion for the sport we love and we should all be glad he has this much passion. Terry is one fine guy in my book and I am very thankful to know him and that he gives us this forum to learn and share this great passion we all have. This forum has given me countless friends and great folks to chat and share my passion with. Terry you have my full support and if there is anything in anyway I can do to assist please say so.

I've been here awhile and I like it here. Acually I reregisterd once so I'v been here longer than my profile indicates. I've never had a post pulled. There's a lot of good people and good info to be found. I lurk here more than I post. The culture here is certainly different than on the other site much less contetious and argumentative no attacks and certainly more respectful. I,m comfortable here.
That said, I visit the other site also and have friends there since I've been there from almost the beginning. It gets crazy over there and there is a lot more b%$$#@T. I've stayed away from that site for a long time because I couldn't tolerate some of the very fine people that took a bashing for no reason other than who they are.( it's easy to be a big mouth, no it all, bad ass in cyberspace). People have been banned from that site also. I still go there and probably always will. I'm a personal friend of the owner.
I'm not in the loop as far as this controvery goes and don't know any of the players on either side personally. The LDB never came my way and I could care less. I don't care where it is now.
I just wish there wasn't this schism in our trad family. I see it coming to no good end. It's gotten to be more than just a "family squabble".
Serious accusations have been made by some and the silent response has IMHO, been deafening.
It would be nice if both sides laid out their facts and got this thing settled once and for all. Clear the air and put it to bed. We're all big boys and girls. Rich Potter (nut)

it all boils down to the question i asked above that is what has kept it alive not wanting to bash Terry IDK the man and from what i heard hes a good guy i just want the question to be answered which has been asked and deleted more than once.

If it was all about the LDB and nothing but The Little Delta bow there would have been a simple question posted and Terry would have had the chance to respond. To take the question as an opportunity to crucify a person for every or any other reason is pure hate.
I'm not sure because I've never asked but do you think the reason Terry doesn't say much about the LDB is because hate runs so rampid in our ranks. I can see why we don't hear much about it. The way it looks to me someone may do something with the bow JUST TO HURT TERRY! Everyone had a chance to bid on the bow. There were no rules that went with the bow sale. Mike Huston was a fine man for allowing all to happen with the bow when it was his. The way I see it Terry has every right to do with the bow what he wishes no matter what you or I or others feel. It's Terry's bow now and obviously one hell of a big cross to bear. Geeze I'm glad I stay off the computer these days. What a world full of hate and glory seeking! CK

I’ve been overloaded with work for the past 2 months and just had to take a break from the Gang. My life has had enough stress lately but with bow season starting Saturday I thought I would dip my feet back in here to get back into the swing, connect with my brothers that I don’t talk with on the phone and honestly, I’ve been missing it here something fierce.
Then I see this thread. I whole heartedly agree with everything CK said, and I’d say it again in all caps, repeated 4 or 5 times for good measure if I thought it would do any good. But it won’t, too many with ulterior motive or axes to grind that have nothing to do with the LDB.

I haven't read 'the thread' of so called accusations elsewhere, but here's the scoop.....
I won the bow in the 2007 St Judes auction as it was donated by the previous owner free and clear of any strings. As those that were here know the server crashed somewhere in the last couple of minutes even though we had gotten a new server hoping to prevent the events of the year before. Back then we had only one bid forum and one closing night with 9 pages of items. That one auction raised over $90,000.
The server had to be re-booted by our host,(called by Rob) and until that happened no body knew who won what. Our host said that some members had as many as 12 pages open all that last minute sniping just shut her down. It scared me to death as I had no clue if the server could even be revived. I have never seen our server, and its not even in this country
For that reason this year we linked two servers had four different forums closing 4 different nights to hopefully prevent that and it worked.
I bid on the bow because I wanted to 'semi retire' it to protect and preserve it and its history. It has been to TX on a group hunt, and to the Paradise on St Judes hunts. The bow is scheduled to go out for the last two weeks of this month, and again for the last two weeks of November. I might even hunt with it for a while after that, and then it will go on other group hunts after the 1st of the year. The bow is still hunting, just a little differently than before.
Certain folks registered and their 1st posts were attempts to stir up stuff about the bow, and yes, since their sole purpose was to cause problems they were banned. One guy from AL registered at least 3 times just to do so.
I haven't miss represented the bow or myself, or caused the bow any harm. As some of you know, I fixed the bow's limb twist and gave it a new travel tube.

Too bad that since winning the bow, its been used as a club to beat me with by those that evidently don't like the idea of me having it, and folks that were banned from here for causing problems. I'm sure this wont stop them from hollering either.
