I get to leave for CO on the 15 so save a few for me. Be safe and good luck everyone.
This cool weather is drivin me nuts!!!! I won't get to hunt til the first weekend...it'll prolly hit 90!!!
I'm going to open season in your state this year also.Good luck
Boy it woulda been a nice mornin today. If it stays this nice its gonna be rough not getting tags and driving cross the big river myself. ;)
I've been going nuts for a few days now.I told myself I'd be patient this year but this weather is really getting to me.
I hope you all fill your tags,
Ethan
Hey goodolboy, know of any traditional archery groups located in SE Misosuri?
I probably won't go until that first weekend and like Fireman said, It'll get up to 90.
I'm planning on going every weekend I can. No matter what temp or weather. With football and school during the fall and wrestling during the winter. I don't have a lot of time. lol
I have to work the first 2 days, then head for CO the 17th,so it'll be near the end of the month before I go. (NOT complainin) By then it will be less than 90 I hope!! Good luck Folks!!
I will be in the woods Monday... Monday late afternoon for sure.
Excited, maybe a bit. I bought my tags July 15th... LOL
Good luck to all.

hye buddy you gona be able to handle the hills we got over here in missouri, its not all flat cornfields like over there in IL lol
Good ol boy, It's not all flat here. I just hope I can get used to the small kill zones on those lil deer over there. :biglaugh: I haven't found a place to hunt as of yet. I'm looking into some corps areas along the river. I like to hunt river bottoms when I can.
By the way good luck to all!!
jcarter, there is a group in Sikeston called Bootheel Traditional Bowhunters. Been thinking about checking them out myself.
Southern IL at least from Carbondale south is beautiful and hilly... Little Grassy is a great place to go.

I went over to West Alton Mo. this afternoon to check out the area. Looked o.k. but not much sign. Stayed till dark and only saw 1 doe enter the beans, I was dissappointed to say the least. hopefully I can find something more promising. Still felt good just to be out there!!!!
I don't even have a stand up yet. I guess I had better get busy.
I'm heading up Friday to set the camper up at the lease. I'll be hunting Wayne, Co. We've seen quite a few deer so far. I'm looking forward to it.
the acorn crop seems pretty nonexistent in the columbia, mo area. anyone else in missouri seeing the same thing?
the white oaks that I've checked were full. After the late April freeze stopped all the acorns here last year this should be good this season.
