My new Northern Mist Classic arrived yesterday, and I couldn't be happier! It turned out better than I expected and exactly on weight. She's 66" long and 53@26.5", Macasser Ebony riser and tip overlays, bamboo cores with figured Myrtle veneers. I went out today to fling a few and WOW is all I can say! This is the nicest shooting Hill style bow I have ever shot! I can't thank Steve Turay enough for building such a great bow. Steve says he is working towards becoming a sponsor here and I hope he does. If your a Hill shooter and haven't tried one of Steve's bows, I highly encourage you to do so - you wont be sorry!

That is really beautiful.Nothing like unwrapping a new bow.
Nice bow
Steve is a great guy to talk to. Does he give shooting lessons? I couldn't get the feel for those Hill style bows, but I have to admit I haven't tried one for years. Those myrtle veneers are amazing!
Very nice! Hap
Nice woods.
Ken, sweet bow! I really like the looks of that myrtle. How's she shoot?
That sure is a nice lookin' bow, Ken. Gotta be getting tough to chose which bow to shoot. :)
Steve
I am a big fan of Steve Turay and Northern Mist Longbows. I have 2 Sheltons and feel they are excellent quality and fantastic to shoot.Jerry
Great looking woods
Looks great!
Thanks for the compliments guys! Owlbait, Steve is a dedicated Hill style guy (that's what he shoots) so I bet if you stopped by he would love to show you how it's done.
Lance this is an amazing shooter! Smoother than any of my Hills, even the 68" Wesley, and fast - I MEAN FAST!! No handshock at all, just the slightest little thump, and quiet as a mouse. I can't really describe it, but if we meet up at a shoot, you are welcome to give her a go!
Steve your right! They all shoot good and that's the beauty of shooting Hill style bows. This one and the 68" Wesley are going to get some work this season, and i'm saving the Tembo for Turkeys in the spring. I'm still working on arrow setups for the others so they'll have to wait a while. What makes it even worse is I traded for a Redman which should be here tomorrow - decisions decisions! Oh well, that's half the fun!
Regards to all.....Ken
