Thought it might be nice to celebrate the unsung heroine's of so many of our hunts, the does. A trophy in their own right.
Here's a pic of a gal I took with my selfbow and stonepoint. The fawn was hit by car.
Anyone else out there with a trophy doe mount?

Beautiful.I have an antlered doe cape in the freezer which I hope to mount eventually.I also have 3 roadkilled fawn hides. You have a nice piece of art there.Did you mount them yourself?
That is a nice looking mount
Thanks. Yea, I did the mount. Spent lots of time conceptualizing it and trying to bring it all together. Glad you enjoyed it. It was a labor of love.
that's beautiful!
I have a doe mount,beautiful animals. Leland
Excellent work on the mount Wayne. Hope your area weathered Gustav better than around here.
Great mount
That is an awesome idea Wayne. Great work!
Wayne, Loved the article bud. She's a beaut!
Beautiful mount. I've been thinking go doing a Doe mount if I ever get one with the Traditional equipement. Have never harvested and animal with Trad equipement and a Doe to me would be just as much a trophy as a big buck.
This is my first traditional bow kill. Took me 10 years, so she is special to me. Jim

Both beautiful short haired Sept. deer!!
Curt, Can't wait to see your mount. Two beautiful animals and I know you will do them justice.
Jim, thats a trophy indeed!
beautiful taxidermy work... I may "tribute" (mount) the first legal deer I can get killed with my Hoyt Pro Medalist Hunter this season. The bow is appx 38-40 years old. A tribute to Earl and Ann as well as the beautiful bow he made.
