Title: Adding weight to AD's
Post by: Leon.R on September 06, 2008, 06:51:00 AM
Probably been asked before, did a quick search and didnt see what I want.
How can I add weight to AD Nitro Stingers.
The shafts are tapered so do you just insert tubes ?
Can some one help me and also how much will I be able to add?
Thanks Leon

Don't they make 100 grain brass inserts for them?
I know they do for the AD Traditionals, just bought some from Ted @ Rapture Archery.

I don't know about AD's but in my Grizzly sticks the tubes didn't work because they rattle in the fat end of the shaft.  I haven't tried it but a lot of guys glue rope to the inside of their nock and then slip it down the shaft.

Aquarium tubing put in the front end.  Jam it into the taper, and cut off even with the front of the shaft so when you glue in the insert, it will jam the tubing it really snug for a no rattle shaft.
