Title: Bowyers help short and long riser
Post by: Kip on September 05, 2008, 05:28:00 PM
I have the long and short Bob Lee risers and I know when I put a std. set of limbs on the short riser it gains about 5 lbs. so I put a set of 49@28" and they feel like 54-55.My question is this hurting the limbs ,they were designed for the 49 lbs. in effect am I overdrawing them to the added wgt. and will it be O.K.?Rob told me that they would gain but did not mention it was bad to use the limbs from my other bows. Can someone explain whar happens when you put them on shorter risers in laymens terms. Thanks Kip

Putting the limbs on the shorter riser bends/stresses the limbs more at the same draw length, thus more draw weight.  Not a problem unless you have an extremely long draw length.
