there is a bear riser for sale on an auction site that shall go unnamed, it is Bear and the only ID on the riser is the alphanumeric code of B2481 .
looks like there is a round silver inlay in it, and its a B riser. any idea how to tell how old it is, and what kind of limbs i would need so seek out to fit it should i bid on it? the item number is 180286012070
Send a PM to the real bowdoc, he can tell you.

i apologize, but i don't know how to do that, any pointers?
That's a nice riser and will probably command a fairly decent price. Bear made/makes three limb lengths. On a B riser they would range from 60 to 68 inches, I think, in four inch increments. Pretty sure that both early and late limbs fit all the risers, and sets of limbs come up for auction quite frequently.
I believe that you can obtain more information directly from Bear Archery through their web site.
#1 = 60"
#2 = 62"
#3 = 64"
All on B riser.
RER can make you an excellent set of #2 limbs for less than it costs for a set of Bear limbs. the RERs are faster and quieter IMO.
this riser looks really cool int he pics, wood looks very figured. what is a riser worth like this, if in fact its in the pristine condition as listed?
thanks gents
can you guys point me in the right direction here?
Do a search on E-Bay for what other B risers have sold for if you want an idea of what you might be getting into if you really want that one.
Click on Directory at the top of the page. Then type the real doc into the box and click search. Then you can click on More and on PM to send him a PM.
