New rule for me - no more bows until Christmas.
I just want to thank Mike over at Dryad Bows for being so patient with me, and going out of his way to help me on a holiday no less.
I hope all the gang at Dryad have a great time on the elk hunt.
Now I can wait patiently and get prepared for the WI openner...

No more bows til Christmas. Really? Hap
Notice he didnt say nothin bout arras huh.?
MORE MORE MORE.....Come on Chris...I know you can't pass up a deal....Dont worry, I wont tell the MRS :bigsmyl:
WHAT THE HECK KIND OF RULE IS THAT??? DON'T WE ALL ALREADY HAVE ENOUGH RULES? FOR $10 A WEEK, WE WON'T TELL ANYBODY!
How can you "wait patiently"? I ordered a new bow 3 weeks ago and I am jonesin' for it already. Heck, I already bought a new string keeper and tip protector for it. :bigsmyl:
I have a hard time being patient when it comes to new toys.
You guys aren't helping the cause any. On the phone ordering with Mike, it was decided it's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission. We'll see when the package arrives..
AFA the waiting patiently, I've still got a ton of things to accomplish before the season openner - and once that happens, I lock in to the season; my bow choice won't change, arrows (unless lost or bloodied) stay the same, broadheads/feathers won't change, you get the idea... So long as my mind is occupied, I've got a chance at not stewing around waiting for my bow to arrive. :D
So what did you order? :readit:
Inquiring minds want to know..... :D
All right I'll spill it.
It's partially Frassettor's fault. After seeing his father's tribute, and watching him shoot I decided I had to have a longbow. I can't have all recurves, ;) so I did some research into them. I looked at the mainstream ones, kept an eye on classifieds, and didn't see anything that really spoke to me.
I've wanted to try a Dryad bow from the moment I saw their site. When I saw the buildalong for the glass blanks, I knew it was time to put the order in. Hardest decision I made was maple or bamboo cores, everything else was easy.
So as it sits, a bocote and blackglass 64AMO with bamboo cores is being built. Just for me. :D
That's so cool.

Yep we have one in the works with your name on it
going to be done the week we get back from Idaho.
Mike
I'm patiently waiting for my new bow also...not an easy thing to do. I ordered it in July and I won't see mine until Christmas time or the first of the year.
But it's a fun anticipation...looking at a case and a sting keeper also. Just getting things in line for when it arrives.
Josh
Nothing quite compares to the anticipation of a new bow. Will it be ______? Will I be ______? Should I have ______? Can I ______?
Enjoy the suspense, it should be good food for thought during season.

Take you're time, Mike. I'll enjoy it when it arrives, and good luck in Idaho!
I remember when people though I was crazy for waiting 10 weeks on a compound, 6+ months for a trad? WOW!!!!
Dang it looks like 6 months is becoming real common with trad bowyers. It's nice to have the business. We work weekends to try and keep ours at 4 months.
