A Martin Damon Howatt recurve. 62" AMO and
50 @ 28". It sure is a pretty bow to me.
I am currently shooting a PSE Impala 60" amo and
50 @ 28". I shoot this Impala with a raised rest but the DH will be shot off of the shelf. I have never done this before so I'll be asking questions if I can't find what I'm looking for with a search. I hope you guys will help and be patient with me. I'm shedding high tech a little at a time but I'm getting there.

Nice bow.. I have one too and it's what I shot when I first go into Trad. Very serviceable and should serve you well.
Best Of Luck with your new recurve! It's a nice one.
... mike ...
Pac, that is a classic statment you made "It sure is a pretty bow to me". No one could have said it better! It is a beautiful bow and Martin has been making Trad bows for years.Your statement could also be said of your wife, girl friend, sister, or a woman. Great weight and length for a recurve. Thanks for making my day! Ken
Martins are great bows, excellent choice, very nice grain.
I shoot a Martin Hatfield at 50# and it has been my go to bow the last two years(a new Great Plains is in my holster for this deer season, though).Good luck.
Congrats, Pac. Very nice piece of wood in that bow. Shoot her well and in good health. :archer:
Sweet bows. They remind me of Silvertips for some reason.
I was showing my wife the photos on this thread and told her I was thinking of buying this bow. She had a few comments. She said it was a beautiful bow and asked how much it cost and why didn't I wait and buy that one instead of the one that was coming in the mail.
She didn't know it had arrived today. She also didn't know she was looking at the photos of my new bow that I had posted.
Pac....you're living dangerously!! It might be safer to hunt elephant with the new bow.
It's the same bow that she was exspecting to come in the mail. She just hadn't seen it when I purchased it.
The way I see it I can now purchase another without her figuring out the carefully laid plans. On the other hand I can say I paid less for this one and sent the other back and still earn some points.
It's a great bow - fast, smooth and accurate. I think you'll like it lots.
Your goin get yourself in a whole heap a trouble Pac.
Hard to beat a Martin bow, IMO. That's one of the all time greats. You'll love it. In order to shoot off of the shelf, my advice would be to place a matchstick or something similar directly above the pivot of the grip on the shelf under the leather or whatever you use for a rest, in order to minimize contact with the arrow.
Good luck, and good shooting!
Great bow! You should enjoy her.
