I'm gettin' pretty sick of this hot and muggy weather here in Michigan, I don't like it to begin with so I don't think I could live down south.
But I'm ready for the crisp fall mornings when you can see your breath, and the colors, and the chilly wind that brings the scent of rotting leaves. I see the leaves are starting to change a bit though!!!

COME ON FALL!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bakes
I hear ya buddy. I could never live down south, can't deal with hot and muggy.
It'll be coming soon to Ct. Can't wait. Wood smoke leaves turning color, geese flying south....the rut. Oh Lord.(nut)
It was hot today, but hang in there. I heard the weather channel say to expect a high of only mid sixties by Thursday. That will feel nice.
We were hitting some rummage sales on Saturday, and a black squirrel was crossing the road in front of us, and I heard my ten yr old son give him fair warning that he had about two more weeks, and we are coming for him.
Hang in there Bakes... you are not alone.
yeahhhhh baby!! i HATE the heat, love the cold, crisp mornings.
Our squirrel season opened today. My son and I went out this morning and sweated our bug spray off which we needed because of all the d@mn mosquitos. Yup, hot & muggy has gotta go. BTW, no squirrels.
I notice some of the leaves beginning to change already. Yesterday we had a 15-20knot wind coming off the lake which runs almost due north from my deck. It felt very much like autumn. It sure gets the blood pumping.(nut)
I'M WITH YOU GUYS, IT'S CHILLING TIME!!!
I agree. I've been b**ching about the humidity over this weekend. Just like hell to me. I really do not know how people live in the south. Shirt sticks to you in one minute, sweat running down your nose just standing in place and the bugs about to eat me alive. I hunted with two old boys from Houston this past May in Alberta. They were cold at 50 degrees. I was hunting in a long sleeved t-shirt...
Come on winter!!!
Went out back to shoot a little this afternoon and that lasted all of about 15 minutes. Could'nt stand the heat and humidity. I'd never make it in the South, I don't know how you folks down there put up with it.
Kinda funny how we all like where we live for the differences and we all like where we live for some of the same reasons. I always say "I don't know how those Northern folk can stand the cold". Heat and humidity is something I been used to all my life living in the South, can't say it's the greatest thing but ain't the worst either.
" and the chilly wind that brings the smell of rotting leaves..."
I like that description I could almost smell it just reading the words...even us Southern boys can't wait for a little frosty weather.
Good luck all this season!!!
