Is there any good hide tanning videos that someone cam recomend to me? I would like to tan the skins of the deer i kill this fall.Any advice?

If you just want a wall decoration the easiest thing to do is nail it on a sheet of plywood after streatching it as tight as you can get it. Then use a knife to get as much meat, fat and membrane off of the hide. All that is left to do is cover the meat side with salt to draw out moisture. The salt will have to be changed a few times. After the hide is completely dry you will have a nice hide left.
The hide will come out stiff but makes a good rug or wall hanging. It can be worked to loosen it up but it will never be like leather if you use this method.
That works or you can turn it into rawhide and use it for projects. There are many tutorials on the web for tanning. Check out Paleoplanet's leather tanning forum.

I used to do something very similiar with fish and borax before taxidermy work for my dad when I was younger.
