Fellas...when u r standing on the mountain this year looking out in awe on Gods creation, and on the greatest nation the world has EVER seen...bow your head...give thanks and say a prayer of gratitude to all our boys fighting for us against the wolves of the world...the throat slitters...our fighting boys are Americas "Sword of Gideon"...we owe them everything. May God Bless them...may they show NO mercy to our enemies.
Well said!
Not a day goes by that I don't give thanks for the things I have and the country I live in. Anyone who has been the protector of the "flock" probably feels the same. Semper Fi
Yes Sir !! You Got It !!
You got it right brother.
Well I'm not going to Colorado hunting, But well said God Bless America and our troops!!!
Couldnt of said it any better myself OOH RAH!
I'm a flag waver. Can't thank those enough with guts to stand in harm's way & fight for my freedom especially while others here take it for granted and expect to appease terrorists towards peace & international security! All our soldiers are true heroes!
Everyday.
AMEN!
I give thanks to all who serve or great nation and to the families of all those who protect us both past and present.
I still keep in touch with many of my miltary EOD family members and I am sad to report that one of my friends (truely family) has passed last Friday. Below is an portion of the official article sent out. I met Brian while on deployment and have since retired. He was a great person and knew his duties well.
I now bow my head (again) - not in remorse - but to honor a good man who gave us and others the greatest gift possible.

A Minnesota soldier was killed by a roadside bomb in Afghanistan on Friday, the Army announced today.
Army Staff Sgt. Brian Studer, 28, was attempting to deactivate an improvised explosive device (IED), but was unable to complete his task before the bomb exploded. While the military says Studer was from Roseau, his family says he was from Ramsey.
Sgt. Studer was assigned to the 720th Explosive Ordinance Disposal Company, 28th Transportation Battalion, 18th Military Police Brigade based out of Mannheim, Germany.
The explosive companies are often called when a bomb is sighted, said Pentagon-based Army spokesman Maj. Nathan Banks.
"That was his job, (Studer) was trained and would have knowledge to deactivate the bombs," Banks said.
Studer is the sixth soldier with Minnesota ties to die while serving in Afghanistan. He is the 442nd American soldier to die there, according to the Pentagon.
Studer's mother, Ellen Hanson, declined to comment and referred all questions to a military spokesperson.
HOOOOYAAAA!!!!
the simple fact that we have a country, is due to A citizen soldier...
grunt, cook, corpsman, clerk; each fulfills a role that allows US to march forward...
from tri-corners,to coon skins, to doughboys, and kevlar...
WE owe them our support and THEY expect that we should live out our dreams under their watch. So, live. Be Thankful. Remember.
God Bless each and every Service member and their Families, too!
Ditto, ditto, and ditto. God Bless Our Troops!!!
Amen to that and good hunting!
When through the woods, and forest glades I wander,
And hear the bulls sing sweetly in the trees.
When I look down, from lofty mountain grandeur
And see the brook, and feel the gentle breeze.
Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, How great Thou art.
Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, How great Thou art!
Some gave all, lets give when we can, when God gives us daily opportunities......God bless
All the best with your elk hunt!
AMEN to that and have a safe hunt. may the spirit of the wolf guide your. arrows to the sweet spot
I'll throw a "Semper Fi" to that one.

I've posted this before and I will post it every time this topic comes up, because I BELIEVE:
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired,
National Guard or Reserve - is someone who,
at one point in his or her life, wrote
a blank check, made payable to
"The United States of America"
for an amount of "up to and including my life."
That is honor, and there are far too many people
in this country who choose to no longer
understand such a commitment.
AMEN BROS
AMEN Thanks to all who have will and DO serve to keep us safe.
