Hey guys iv been shooting some 65-70# spine woodys out of my custom takedown recurve(45# at 28") with 125gr head on the end and they shoot good at 10-15 yards but when i move out to 20-25 they seem to fishtail or the end turns to the right. Is this defineatly a spine problem, or could a heavier point straighten the arrow flight?
try moving your brace first, if that doesn't work up head weight.

It could be spine problem, or several other things. Would need to know how deep the shelf is cut on your bow, your draw length and arrow length BOP. It could also be your nocks are too tight on the string, they should just barely hang on, or crooked nocks on the arrow shaft.
From your post you say they shoot OK 10-15 yards, but fishtail at 20-25 that does not sound right, please elaborate.
Whump Sez; Do what "arrowmakr" sez and get back to us--you can't give us too much info. As for the 10-15 and 20-25 question---it is flying crapy at the close distance it is just happening so fast you can't see it. Hunt safe: :readit:
Whump ur probly right, the riser is not all center shot but close, and my arrows are cut at 29 inches, its not every time i shoot though they fly crappy sometimes out of the blue my says possibly a form problem But I cant see why that would make the arrows fly bad, shoot poorly yes but not get crazy arrow flight
If it's not happening on every shot, might be a bad release, plucking the string. That's what happens to me anyway.
