I just finished the first two of the new half dozen heads I will be hunting with this year. They are similar to the heads I have made in prior years only these are a bit longer to give a better aspect ratio ( 2.6 : 1 ) and have the added weight I was looking for to be used with my longbow . They are just under 1 inch wide with a blade thickness of .039. The blades are single bevel. They are made the same way as prior heads where the blades are pinned to the ferrule.

That blade material is m42. It is in the upper 50's for Rockwell hardness.

Great looking head. Hope to see some "field test pics" soon.
I went to the previous post, and saw how you made them. I just have one question now: How did you shape the field point? Did you grind it, or heat it and hit it?
Ron,
I am really impressed! Way to go!
WOW! I wish you good luck and hope to see some results.
You are a talented man.

Grind it. I mount it on an adapter and spin it against a grinder and then belt sander.
Whump sez; Buddy---you shucked that one down and wrung it off the cob------REAL NICE! Hunt safe.
