OK, I think I have the bow taken care of......... now lets talk custom arrows. I want arrows my way. I know sounds ridiculous :) Sorry....... I am tired of looking at my boring aluminum arrows and you can't shoot aluminum out of a long bow (grin). Thanks, Craig
Hi....Ron LaClaire's arrows sure look interesting... www.schrewbows.com (http://www.schrewbows.com)
contact jlnft on here, amazing arrows, what ever you want, cap dips, cresting, splicing, and a great deal too
Thanks fellas ;) Craig
define "my way" ?
Something a little nicer than 3 plastic vanes on a orange aluminum shaft :) Maybe some nice barred feathers with a little cresting on the arrow.
........almost forgot to include woood arrows ;)
Take a look at my website. I do Aluminum, Carbon, and PO Cedar.
Check Ted @ Raptor out as well
Try Rod Kelley(Mountaintop Traditional Arrows)
(406) 756-5885. Rod is currently making up a dozen Douglas Fir "customs" and has made Port Orford Cedars& Carbons for me. Rod's arrows are reasonably priced & beautifully made in any combination of fletching, dips, cresting etc..you desire.
Thanks, will check them out ;)
Check BadgerArrow and Sipsey River. Service is first-rate at either; both have gone out of their way to help me get great arrows. You will be impressed.
And Paul At Badger probably qualifies as an artist with arrows.
Charlie
You can always make them yourself. It's great to shoot your own handiwork.
Elite Arrows. I have always shot wood and his are by far the best I have used. A lot of bang for your buck and he is extremely knowledgeable if you need some questions answered.

Thanks alot gentlemen....... Fletcher, I have given this alot of thought this evening. I have everything to fletch them. I guess I might read up on arowbuilding a bit and see what all it takes for wood arrows ;) Not those aluminum ones :) Thanks, Craig

I'll second jlnft. He makes a great set of arrows.

I second the vote for the best arrowsmith as a fellow tradganger : jlnft
Sorry Wildman, I third : jlnft
Craig, It's easy, fun and the satisfaction that you get from shooting an animal with your own crafted arrows is unbelievable. I have made 20 or so dozen over the years and would not consider buying from someone else unless time was a factor. Give it a try, you won't be sorry.
Craig, feel free to contact me with questions or I can PM my ph#. TJ Conrad's book, "The Traditional Bowhunter's Handbook" is a great reference.
Craig, I like Bob Burtons arrows www.whisperingwindarrows.com (http://www.whisperingwindarrows.com) they are beautifully crafted & fly really well. Bob can get your correct spine & make arrows you will like. Thanks Frank
Get ahold of Paul Jalon at Elite Arrows. He makes the best quality wood arrows around in my opinion. He makes the arrows for Ron LaClair as well. I have 3 sets of them and will probably pick up another before season starts.

craig,
For the amount of money you will pay to get some nice custom woodies, you could buy a dip tube, make a cresting machine out of an old electric can opener, buy a chopper, and make them exactly "your way".
after a few dozen arrows, it will pay for itself.

Ya know.. even if you make your own (which is fun and rewarding)...Do yourself a favor and get a set from Elite Arrows..Paul Jalon really makes a superior arrow..and I defy anyone to say otherwise... :readit:
Shawn...
I agree with smonte, I posted previously about making your own, but I have had my eye on a dozen Shadow wing Autom legends. Just beautiful arrows.
I will have to strongly aggree that Paul Jalon (Elite Arrows)makes the wood arrow you can buy. Most consistent and a good value for the buck.

WOw, those are some nice arrows.... and they are exactly what I am looking for.
'Nother vote for Badger. Top notch service, and goes above and beyond! Easy to get a hold of too.
I second Elite Arrows. I have 2 dozen of his that I use for hunting. If I don't shoot Paul's arrows then I will only shoot the ones that I make myself.
I personally don't have any of his arrows but jlnft makes some beautiful arrows. I buy pre finished shafts and wrap and fletch myself.
Lots of good choices there! I have arrows from a couple of those sources. Check each one for price and delivery and pick one (or two). You won't go wrong.
