so what would you guys consider as a good backup recurve?? i shoot a hoyt gamemaster2 and yeah i do baby it, even though its camo and has a metal riser, but i would like a second recurve ( wood )for a backup that i can keep in my jeep, unstrung of course, this fall so i can head straight to the refuge after work. the refuge where i hunt is only 1 mile from my job :biglaugh: ....maybe im just making excuses so i can get an all new bow but i am on a budget and i keep noticing the new model bear grizzly at the local shop....seems like a solid bow? what do you guys think.
It seems like you already have a good back up bow. your 50# k mag haha
unstrung or not I wouldn't keep a bow in my car. Or if I did it would be the metal Hoyt.
the k- mag is my fishing bow....and i wouldnt leave a bow in my jeep if it was gonna be warm anyway. it would be in a soft case also.
Grizzly's are great back-up, knock around bows, but why buy a new model at a new model price?
I much prefer the older Grayling version, and they are frequently found for $100-150.
I have back up limbs for the tradtech riser.
oh okay. Around here even in mid season it can get pretty hot in a car. But I always forget not everyone lives where they wear short sleeves to Christmas dinner.
haha! i hear ya sw. pygmy:)....and blackhawk i would much rather have a grayling model like my k-mag but i like to see and shoot the bow i buy.....cant find anyone around here that has one. at one time i had the chance to buy one but it had alot of stress lines and holes drilled:(
Sound's like it's calling your name :biglaugh: :biglaugh: :biglaugh:
