Since using the basic Cordovan tab from 3Rivers Im sold on a tab vs the glove. Thought I would invest in a "good" tab and keep the one I got now as a spare.
Anyone have input between the pros and cons of the two. Is all the extras like plates and thub rests necessary? I'm looking at the cordovan models.
Thanks in advance!

Just get the tab and throw away the metal guard that has to screw onto the tab.

I've never used the Angel tab. My Cavalier Elite in Cordovan is by far the best tab I've ever used.

The Cavalier Elite with the plate is made for Olympic style shooting where you anchor under your chin. It's a great tab but I think it has limited use for hunting purposes if your anchor is at the corner of my mouth.
I think a Bateman cordovan is better for hunting purposes.

Thanks for the input gents. Hmmm not sure, maybe I'll just get a spare Bateman.

The Angel tab is a good one...I do however like the Cavalier better due to the positve string placement the aluminum plate allows...as well as being made in the USA by a fine archer and coach, Dick Tone

I haven't shot the Angel tab, but I made sure I got a backup for my Cavalier Elite tab. I use it everytime I shoot, by far my favorite tab at the moment.
I don't use the fancy shelf part that comes with it.

Cavalier elite all the way....can't wear them bad boys out and will give you a really great, consistant, hook on the string.

I got the idea to use the Cavalier Elite tab from Rod White on Masters of the Barebow 1. I'm using it like he does, three under with no finger spacer. I anchor on my eyetooth with my thumb and have never had a problem. It's really helped my shooting!

Ditto the Cavalier, don't see the problem with it for hunting.
