does anyone know if you can buy just a hoyt dorado riser?? i would like to get one and then buy the bushing for converting ilf fittings....then add the tradtech longbow limbs. any info will be helpful...price, vendor, etc.
thanks

Let me know how you make out, I've been thinking the same thing about my Gamemaster.
I've done it with the original Hoyt Gamemaster. All you need to do is remove the ILF fitting and replace it with a bushing/pin that fits the hole in the limb.
I think the folks who sell the tradtech limbs will sell you the limbs ready to be mounted on dorado/gamemaster.
I'm sure you can buy just the dorado riser as I ordered the GM2 riser last summer from a local archery shop for $250.
yeah i just read that lancaster will sell the limbs wuth the bushings installed. i talked to the local hoyt dealer today, where i got my gamemaster2, they said " hoyt wont sell just hte riser"...i dont believe that . i know a few guys that have ordered just the risers....so im at a loss on where to check:(
Brandon, you have a pm.

AWESOME Viking69!! you got a pm
How did you guys figure your draw weight? ALso your string length. I just bought a new Gamemaster and the limbs twisted already! I'm gonna get a new set, but I can't say that I'm real excited about that. When I shot compound, Hoyt had the only grip that suited me, I love my Gamemaster grip, but would prefer longbow limbs. Also what kind of performance do you guys get from this setup?
ILF limbs are marked with draw weights set for 25 & 23" risers. Add 1 lb to the limb draw weight for every inch of riser less than 25.
Example a set of ILF limbs are marked 40 lbs for a 25" riser and 42 lbs for a 23" riser. I think the Hoyt gamemasters are 21" risers so the limbs would be 44 lbs. Same 40 lb limbs on a 17" Daala or Trad Tech riser would be 48 lbs.
