Title: Busy weekend at the camp
Post by: upatree on August 17, 2008, 07:26:00 PM
I have been getting ready for the hunting season.  My best friend has decided to hunt with us this year and I have 3 nephews that are really getting into hunting so we had to add on.  This is the new addition that we added.  It's 20' x 10' and we will make the existing bathroom bigger next year.  I still have the trim to finish but it's very livable now.

The snake was the victim of a local and he brought it by to show us.

The last pic is of a new spot I hung a stand.  I seen 2 very good bucks (for our lease anyway)last year in this draw.  I had this little guy and 3 of his friends on several pics.  He's a 7 pt.  Can you see my stand in the
pic???

Kip,
This is in MS near the Brookhaven area.  23 years ago my dad started to hunt with a friend up there and the rest is history.  The locals consider us local  :D  .  I still hunt in LA every chance I get but I could never find any hunting land and I don't have a boat to get to the local area's.  The rut is in Late Dec and late Jan.  I have seen many deer chasing in Feb.

Thanks for the replies.

Did anyone see the stand???  This should help.  It's 17 yards from the deer.  They are crossing right where I hoped they would.
