So with hunting season right around the corner where is everybody going this fall and what are you going after?

Manitoba with you guys for bear. Then it's back to manitoba in november for deer this year. Also, I hope to hunt whitetails in Ohio with a couple of guys I met at the PBS convention. Then it will be deer and turkeys in my home state for the remainder of the season. Unless something else comes up that I can't pass up and I can sneak into this season also.
I'm gonna go crazy because I will be unable to hunt this year for the second in a row due to school, work, and new babies. I can't wait to read everyone's stories though. Ya'll get some good 'uns for me. Great hunting everyone.

In September I will be hunting elk/bear in Idaho with fellow Trad Gang members Chris Kinslow and Gary Norris. Then it is back to Missouri for deer, turkey, predator and small game hunting. This will be my best year of hunting ever!
Then look out 2009! In February the Wensel Pig Gig awaits me. I will be hunting with Trad Gang members Ben Saye (ksbowman) and Kevin Symes (Fatman) and in June I am signed up for the Bear Quest III hunt. On this hunt I will be hunting with Trad Gang members Kevin Symes (Fatman) and Brett Eisman (Bretto). On both of these hunts I will get to hunt and meet many more members of Trad Gang and I can't wait!

White Sands Missile Range, NM for Oryx, only tag I drew this year. Once we get a good freeze I'll thump some bunnies, but that is months away, the Oryx hunt is 11-12 Oct, it will still be plenty warm then.
Dave
I live in central Ohio so I'll probably travel to somewhat north of central Ohio for the early season and just a tad south of central Ohio for the later season.

Block Island, Rhode Island, like every year. Great hunting.
What do you hunt on BI - besides striper?
Between Sheep hunts now. Moose starting September 2, then back after sheep if I get a moose early. Duck and goose in October. Goat in November. Lots of hike/small game hunts with my son Gunther. All within 3 Hours drive of the house.......Goat Moose and small game all hike outs from my back yard.
The farthest I'm going this year is to the eastside of the Cascades for mulies - about 150 miles from my home. The fact that I didn't draw any tags coupled with gas prices will keep me close to home.
Elk on 9-8-08. Then I have a date with a 170 class whitetail we just filmed the other day. 7 pts on the left and 5 on the right with a split brow. He'll get the rest of my undivided attention. Then to Texas fishing in March.
In 2 weeks leavin for Canada for my first black bear hunt. I'm pumped. :bigsmyl:
Staying on Guam. Pigs,Pigs and maybe a Sambar if I am lucky.
Danny

Staying home for my hunts.
Deer in Raton.
Elk in Cimarron.
North Dakota for muleys and whitetails, Wisconsin
for whitetails.
Two miles from the house.
travel being as expensive as it is, I'll stay home. Lots of squirrels and a deer or two. Maybe get the shotty-gun out for doves and quail.
Here in NH for bear and deer, vermont Quebec and Ontario for whitetails too.
Colorado for elk,6 miles deep on muleback, then watch the local whitetail haunts for a couple does and maybe a decent buck..
First 2 weeks of season in elk country of Colorado, about 10 miles in on horseback where the fishing is good and the elk are unpressured. Spending first week just me and my son, second week with Shaun Webb and my old hunting partner. I am planning on having more fun than should be legally possible. A dead elk would be icing on the cake.
When whitetail rut comes around I will be chasing Iowa whitetails, maybe also in northern Missouri.
Looking forward to a hog hunt in Texas next Feb.
7-10 days by my lonesome in western Montana looking for elk and pretending the modern world went away.
Staying here in the Bluegrass hunting on the family farm, some WMA's and Fort Knox. Good luck ya'll !

Staying in Michigan hunting White-tails and small game. Going north for deer camp in October with all guys from here. Looking forward to it!!!
Ontario, all over. Thunder Bay next week for bear, White River in Sept for moose. Rest of fall spent chasin whitetails right around home.
Deer in Florida, Georgia, and maybe Missouri. Hogs in Florida and Georgia. Bear in Georgia. Coyotes, squirrels, rabbits, etc. all in the mix.
I get to hunt with Hope BlackMountain in December and am excited about that.
My real goal is to get a bobcat with a bow which is something I have been trying to do for about 5 years. I see cats everywhere in Georgia during bow season, but the season doesn't start until later in the winter and by then they are nowhere to be found.
Luck to all! Have fun and be safe.
