Here is the longbow I,ve been workin on. Strung with a 7" brace height. Lots of sanding left to do but this is pretty close as far as the limbs are concerned. I'm sure not a very good photographer, working on that part as well LOL!

Unstrung before the rough out.
The belly is as thick as the bamboo core at the nocks end 1/8" and tapers to .055 at the riser.

The photo is not very clear, but you can see the contrast of thickness between the boo core across the back and the cherry tapering on the belly. It didnt look like that much of a taper before I glued it up, but looks pretty cool anyway.

Thats the roughed out handle and sight window. I shot it some and it felt pretty darn good considering the roughness of everything. Hope to have it finished by the weekend.
Should be a fast shooter!
Very nice I was just getting ready to post my 2nd bow It has 3 .001 tapers. My next will have one reverse taper. Great looking bow. Building these bows is great fun.

Does this mean you tapered the glass?
Good looking glue up BTW. Might want to put a bit more angle on your string nocks to keep the string wear down
real nice looking!
PV, no just the layer under the glass on the belly (facing the shooter when holding it in position to draw) My mistake. The bamboo is the same end to end and stays in front of the riser(the back of the bow. The tapers are on the belly side. Sorry for the confussion. I'll edit my post. Thanks,- Greg
Apex it is zingin em. I will be back later, gotta go to work for a while, I wish it was in the shop on the bow!
I should have taken a closer look at the pic's. The taper shows clearly in them. Great looking profile TN. Sometimes our mistakes work out  Like to see a full drawn pic if you got one.
Ill get one for you tomarrow, Im the only one up right now everybody else are counting sheep!! Im addicted to the Olympics!!I've drawn it in the mirror some, not much flex in the end half of the limbs, pretty stiff, but thats what I was going for. Probably gonna try a little less taper on the next one. Never the less I'm still very pleased with the way it shoots and feels. I tend to like a bow that loads early in the draw, and remains smooth.
Here is the bow at full draw roughly 27.5-28".
