Title: Soverign archery
Post by: HACKSAW on August 12, 2008, 05:28:00 PM
Would like some feed back on these bows by someone who has handled them.
Thanks

I have a 65" Sonoran. Good solid bow and really pretty. Has a bit of thump to it, but not bad at all. It has a radical R/D design, but strings up in a nice "D" shape. It smokes!

I have a 57" recurve. It smokes an arrow, is quiet, shoots where I look, and the grip is awesome. I've had it for 12 years or so.

I have a 60" Ballistik recurve and like BernieH, I have had it for 11 years and have no complaints about it.  I don't have meathooks for hands so the grip is one of the best selling points for me.

I have heard some complaints about customer service, but its not been a problem for me.  I would get another in a heartbeat.

I have had several and wish I had one now. Smooth draw, quiet, and fast. Perfect grip for me. They can be a little tricky stringing up but if you have a good stringer they are no problem.

I have two Ballistiks.  Great bows, fast and quiet.

I never had any problems with John either.

I have 2 ballisticks, 60", 54# and 52" 45# and 40# limbs ordered for the 60".  Great bows, just takes a while to get them.  You must use the stringer John supplies and no problem stringing them.  Smooth, quiet and fast.  Excellant workmanship.  I also don't have large hands and the grips are great.  John guides a lot, so his delivery isn't always as promised.

I have shot one of his bows and swore it was much lighter than it was.  Great product.
If you can get ahold of a used one do it.  I ordered mine in February and it is a little behind schedule.  I might see it by next Friday.

I have a Trident. Very nice bow. I shoot it along with some others.  If I needed another bow, I would certainly consider this one again. No chrono but does appear faster than my other bows near the same poundage.

I had a 55# Trident and wish I still had it. I don't get real excited about speed but the bow was very quick.
