Post by: BowHuntingFool on August 10, 2008, 01:29:00 PM
I was wondering if anyone has an email addy for Ric at Marriah Bows? I sent off an email from the address off his website and it was returned! I also called and left a phone message which was never retuned! Is he still making bows?? I sure hope so....

Thanks!

I believe Rick has quit making bows commercially. I haven't heard from him in quite a while, and recall seeing a thread telling of that.

Bowhuntingfool,  Rics still making bows. I know he was having trouble with e-mail. I'd try calling again he's not always easy to reach.  Good Luck  Greg

I hope he is still in business. I have three of his Thermal T/D bows and need to get new limbs made for one of them so my grandson can shoot it. I've also e-mailed numerous times and have never received a response. Telephone wise I haven't been gettiing an answer and don't like leaving messages. I would think that if he had quit making bows that he would have taken his website down. I suspect he stays pretty busy.

I ordered a bow from Ric in December "07" hope to be seeing it in the near future.
Keep trying him on the phone I don't think he checks his e-mail on a regular basis.

I haven't spoken to Ric in a while, but I believe he is still building bows on a limited basis.  I know that he is very busy with work, family, etc., so I would keep trying to reach him. Sometimes he's a bit slow to respond because of his schedule, but in my experience, he's always returned my call (emails)when he has had time.

At one time Ric had quit his full time job and took up making bows on a full time basis. Does anyone know if he still makes bows on a full time basis or has he gone back to another job and making bows part time?

I am pretty sure he has another job besides bowmaking. He has always returned my calls when I leave him a message. Not right away, but he does call back. Don't tell anybody about him as he has somehow remained one of the most under rated and underpriced bowyers around.  Greg

GregD, thanks for the info. I thought he may have gone back to a primary job. You are right, he makes a great bow and the price is affordable. I bought my first bow from him in 1997 and two more thereafter. All are excellent bows draw smoothly, and have very little string slap. I'll keep trying to contact him and get those limbs that I need.

Give Ric a call after 10:00 pm EDT, 9:00 PM CDT or 8:00 MDT.  Ric lives in the MDT time zone, so choose your time to call based on where you live.  He is usually home after 8:00 PM at night.

Joe like Bill said try to give Ric a call after 8pm his time. He's not real easy to get a hold of but his bows are truly a work of art and worth the extra trouble. Good luck.

Hi everyone,

I sincerely apologize for the lack of communication. It has been a wild summer so far but the end is in sight and better yet so is the upcoming elk season.  My email address is bowmaker@cyberport.net and it should work. If it doesn't please let me know by phone and I'll check it out.  My phone number is (406) 257-0590 and please leave a message.  I am still making bows but like some have mentioned, not on a full time basis.  I still enjoy making bows but to be honest love playing with my grandkids more.  :-)

Ric,

Enjoy your grandchildren while they, and you    ;) , are still young.  We have eight of them.  Four live local, in fact right now they are so local that they are in our spare bedroom and the room above the garage.  We are praying for their house to sell so they can buy one they have a contract on and that is being built.  Good to hear from you!    :D
