Title: Quiver for ACS CX????????????
Post by: Elk Chaser on August 09, 2008, 05:00:00 PM
I may be using my acs for an elk hunt its a 70# one 62"
All of my other bows use a quiver mounted to the bow ?
Is there such a thing for the ACS or better with a back quiver " just worried about broadheads in the back quiver"
Thanks Bill

I've used a Thunderhorne small frye on the ACS-CX but since getting that Arrowmaster, I believe my bow has seen it's last days wearing a quiver....

Elk, I've got an Eagles Flight Navajo bolt-on attached to my A&H....couldn't be happier...

Give Don a call, you'll probably want some of the extensions...

good luck

Kevin

Here's a picture, if it works, of a couple of quivers I made from parts of a 3 arrow Kwikee..

Hey Pat , did you just get some kind of L bracket and mount the hood and arrow gripper. I need something for my ACS CX cocobolo riser.

Kinda, just went to the hardware store and got some 1"x1/8 aluminum strap, comes in 3' sticks..

Bend it to the proper angle.. I screwed and J-B Welded the gripper on bottom bracket after making sure it was parallel to the bottom edge of the hood.  Same with the hood, screwed and glued to the aluminum strap... The whole mess is dead quiet on the bow..

Adjustable GNBC. The extra leather is for BH like Grizzlies.

I also use the GN adjustable quiver.  Although I mount it just off the riser on the fadeouts instead of on the riser like Bjorn.  Shot is through a chrono without and with it on and show no difference in speed at all.

I also have a GN strap on, need to sell it... Great quiver but it seemed heavy and threw the bow way outa balance for me... Ford's or Chevy's, grin... Since I'm a tree stand hunter I don't like to carry over 2 or 3 arrows, don't need the extra weight and bulkiness..

I have always hated strap on bow quivers, but I got a Eagle's Flight Archery strap on with their new gripper for my ACS CX.   It is a snug as a bug in a rug.  No vibration at all, and it is very light. I use the 2" extension and really like it.

Pat B, could you please post the detailed pics of your personal quiver's mount, I am a big fan of the kwikee one..I have one of my ACS alu riser drilled for the kkQ and I asked Brian Palma for having a wood one drilled but it's not possible...so I would be very interested by your custom method...
