I thought that I'd give you guys some eye candy...this is my favorite bow. It is a Plum Creek Archery longbow made out of purple-heart with a bamboo core. There is a black phenolic stripe and horn tips. I had another bowyer add the rattlesnake and the buffalo hide grip. When I chronographed it, it shot 205 FPS with 450 gr. arrows. It is 52 lbs. at 28". I've yet to take a deer with it yet, but have taken lots of squirrels and made my own personal best shot ever with it---a flying bobwhite at 20 yards. Plum Creek Archery is very small and owned by one of my relatives.

The same bowyer is finishing up another for me right now. It is 62" and is in brown action-wood and bamboo. It draws at 48 lbs and is smooth as butter. I shot it at the Creek Nation/Coyote Bluff shoot Saturday and it was awesome. Just waiting for him to put the varnish on it now...
Can't wait until October rolls around and I can try it on a whitetail!
