I just acquired one and was wondering your opinions of the bows.

Assuming you are the same person asking this question on another forum, my answer is the still the same. If not let me say that Jim made a quality longbow that shot extremely well and felt comfortable in the hand. On my bow the dished grip was very slight and gave me the feeling of straight grip and was easy to grasp, hold, and shoot. His bows were extremely smooth to draw. To my knowledge Jim is no longer making bows, instead he is making muzzleloaders. I hope this helps.

Benha, I received your PM. I think you are going to find that the Jim Johnson longbow you have will end up being your main bow when it comes to hunting and possibly 3D shooting as well. Enjoy the bow and have a good time with it. RonD

Thanks. I am impressed with how hard it shoots.

RonD is correct Jim is no longer in the  business.  I have one of his recurves for sale in the classified only  because of a shoulder injury.  Extremely smooth bow, and excellent workmanship.

Benha, I had one of Jims personal bows, 64 in. 60@28, it was very quick and shot extremely well, wish Id never gotten rid of it but at the time it was a tad heavy....Dean- if you would like his contact info. I think I still have it, called him a couple years back and talked to him about his bows, pretty nice guy. Dean
