I WAS TOSSING AROUND BUYING AN ARCADIAN WOODS BOW. WHATS THE SCOOP ON THEM, GOOD-BAD ,WHAT.
THANKS
Here's a thread I started some time ago. Three pages of comments, generally all good. Some pictures on there too. A few people have commented that the grip was too big to shoot comfortably.
The wait is long, but I should have a new one soon!!!

Great bows. I've owned an embarassing list of other custom bows. The only one that I currently have is an Acadian 3 pc. Treestick. Great looks and great performance.
Good Luck,
Kyle
Here's one I use to own "Acadian Woods The Classic" Recurve.
Great shooting bows, quick and quiet. I should have been kicked in the sack for letting this one go :banghead:

held my buddy's the other day, did not like the grip at all. I would try before I buy.
Grips on Acadian Woods bows vary a lot. As in any "real" custom bows, they're pretty much made for the hand of the original owner.
Also, I've always experienced a big difference, grip wise, between Tim's 1 piece bows versus his three piece TD models. Seems to me like his 3 pc bow grips are fuller and a little more generic.
If you do a search on "Acadian Woods" you'll get at least 4 or 5 pages of previous comments about these wonderful bows.
Also, look at his photos on his web page. His inlay work will bogle your mind.
Great bows! Second what Toxo said!
Some of the nicest bows I've shot and Tim is a super nice guy to deal with.
I've got a one piece Tree Stick and a three piece Tree Stick and personally I don't think you can go wrong with one of Tim's bows. The best thing you can do though is when Tim is ready to shape the grip , make a trip to see him and he'll let you grip the bow and he'll shape it to your likes. He's a very gifted craftsman and a pleasure to do business with. His bows are worth the wait. Drew
