I understand that an over spined arrow tends to shoot left, but I have a hard time accepting that that is the only thing that could cause an impact left of the aim point.
As I have posted elsewhere I have been loaned a bow to consider for purchase. With it I shot three seperate groups with three different arrow weights (one carbon and two different xx75's) All shot a three inch group, all groups were 6 inches left of aim point, all arrows went in straight (no angling) The group of carbon arrows were 5 inches high, all of the aluminum arrows were 3 to 4 inches low. I attribute the high and low difference to the speed of the arrows. But with the bow being set up (built) for 55 pounds at 25 inches of draw, and me having a 28 1/2 inch draw length and not being able to anchor the string as I normally would could this cause the "sight picture" to be off enough to cause me to simply shoot left, or am I over stressing the limbs and inducing a twist or some other stress it is not made for?
Long I know, but for $200 if I can shoot it I'm gonna.

I know that if I lean my head over more than normal it makes me shoot left. Could be your problem due to short draw.

Why can you not anchor as you normally do? Is it the 65-66lbs at your draw lenght, and you cannot make anchor? If so its surely not the bow for you, no matter what the price.
IF you can't hit anchor you will never shoot that bow consistently well. It would be a waste of $200.
Agree with madness. Get one that fits.
I think it would cause too many bad habits and hurt your shooting technique in the longrun. Don't buy!

A plucky release can also cause left impact...I agree with what has been said about anchor. If you can't shoot this bow comfortably, then $200 is not a bargain.

Anybody looking for a good recurve? I know of one with a bit of a short draw.
too tight of a nock fit could also cause you to shoot left. perhaps file the nocks out a bit.
One thought also,could be the fact your bow may not be tillerd for your draw length.If it were not tillerd passed 25 1/2 it may well be pulling 70+ pounds at 28 1/2" draw and no telling where your arrows will go....maybe not the one for you to get started with....just a thought....bowdoc
Sounds like you are a pretty good shot and you know where your arrows should be going.
You probably know the answer to your question too.........and we are reinforcing that for you. Put your 200 hard earned bucks into another bow! That one does not fit you 3 1/2 inches over draw length is too much. Like the bowdoc says!
