Title: Dryad Bows
Post by: culleng on August 03, 2008, 10:15:00 AM
All I can say is WOW! Wingnut and his son sure know how to make a beautiful bow. I went to McAlister this weekend and had the opportunity to meet them and shoot one of their bows. It was a takedown longbow. 51# @ 28in Made of birdseye maple riser with bamboo limbs. It was FAST! and silky smooth. I haven't found a longbow that just grabbed me and made me want one until now. These guys were great to talk to and make a great bow. If you get the chance give their bows a look. You will not be disappointed. Unfortionately I didn't have the money with me to buy the bow but I will be saving my pennies. Thanks guys just thought I would drop a line and say Good Stuff!

I really like their bow that has bamboo on the back and horn on the belly. It looks good and shoots great. I believe it's called the "Bush Whacker".

Culleng,

Just put my bow down gently, back away, and no one will get hurt!!!! :knothead:

Guys,
All kidding aside, I was with Cullen and shot the same bow. It had almost no hand shock, speed was great, I grouped like no other long bow I've shot, and it was eye candy to boot. I had the money and I don't think that Cullen knew how close I was to letting go of a few dollars and taking this one home.

"WOW"....that's a good first responce, but a few other words come to mind.....Smooth, Precision, Speed, and Beauty.

I'm still thinking about this bow....I noticed that it was still there as I left the shoot. Maybe no one bought it.

That bow came home with us and I just can't believe it.  We will be getting the show bows on the website over the next few days.  They will be finding homes soon.

LOL
