Hi all,
Im looking to get a new pack, nothing too massive just big enough to put a few things in for a days hunt. Ive narrowed it down to a Bison Gear First Trip Explorer after all the good things that have been said about these packs on this forum, and a Camelbak Striker because I like the hydration concept.
One question, where I hunt it gets pretty hot, and it seems the wool fabric of the Bison packs would get pretty hot and sweaty against the skin...more so than other packs. Has this been a problem for some?
Thanks in advance!
Any thoughts?
Angelo can make the packs with other fabrics as well. I don't know the name of it, but he makes some out of a soft suede like material that I really liked. I don't have one, but I would guess they would be lighter and cooler.
Thanks for the info Whip, thats good to know Angelo will do that.
I own a big wool Bison Gear Elk Pack and use all the time, including during the entire KY turkey season. I don't have a problems with mine bein gtoo hot. The back has a special synthetic venting material that contacts your back. Hers' photo of my pack.

Sorry about the typos . . . in a hurry:^)
Matabele,
Angelo can make it out of a wide range of fabrics. You can also put your hydration bladder in his packs. Many of them have pockets for them already.
Great info, thanks!
I just recieved one in bucksuede and it has a mesh built in to the back to allow venting. They are awesome packs and Angelo will work with you to get ya what ya want. Shawn
