Title: Bow Lights?
Post by: Rusty in Fla. on August 01, 2008, 11:02:00 PM
I keep having problems with varmints getting into the garbage in the wee hours of the morning. I don't want to wake the neighbors so I was thinking of mounting a light. Maybe something that would screw into the hole in the front of the recurve intended for a stabilizer. Has anyone ever seen a setup like this? Id there anything ready made?

     Thanks,

http://hawglite.com/

They are now advertising a new model, which is not yet available.  I have last year's model, which I have never used.  Let me know if you are interested in buying it.

You ought to look for the little LED lights that clip to the bill of your ballcap....I've seen them for around $10, light goes right where your lookin'....

An LED?? I wonder if they come in red? Red Boar, I checked out the HawgLite web page and they say they aren't making them any more as they can't get the lamp any more. I guess it's a wait and see.

      Thanks

Go to WalMart and buy a little AA Maglite or even one of the tiny AAA models and a roll of industrial strength velcro.

Slap a swatch of velcro on the side of the bow and wrap another around the light. Shoot once or twice at night to adjust the beam and kill some critters.
