Title: Center serving - what kind?
Post by: Tom Anderson on August 01, 2008, 10:56:00 PM
What kind of center serving are folks using these days?  In my FITA archery days, I used monofilament - what's the latest/greatest in serving material these days?

I'm partial to BCY's 62XS.  Halo (also BCY) is a very tough and very slick serving, but it's so slick it can slip--especially on small diameter strings.  I haven't been able to figure out a cure, and neither have the several professional string makers (trad and compound) I've talked to.  Other than that, I like it too.

BCY's Halo. I found a spool of 0.014" and it helps acheive a good Classic nock fit when I use dacron B-500.
