NO, not back to the wheelie bows... Cars dead, insurance past due & Lost my job. I was writing down everything I had that I could get some money to try and get another car. Yes, a lot of stuff is my bow & arrow making tools & my 2 bows plus other stuff. Well, The wife grabbed my farriers rasp and hit me up side the head. I'm still bumming out so I went for a walk in the woods with ROP in hand. I killed 2 rotten stumps and walked up on a Spotted fawn that was about 20 yards away. I didn't even think of aiming at it, but it was kool just to watch the fawn look at me.
Anyone need a helper that is 43yrs and has a defibrillator & me ch-heart valve? I think it's time for a new start.
Seems bad but it will get better, no doubt. Prayer and faith does alot for me. No matter how bad a day I have had I can always look around and see the good things, some times ya gotta a lok alittle harder but they are there.

My thoughts are with you. Hope things turn out for the best. I have been at a crossroads in my life where things just weren't looking good no matter which direction I looked. I was given some simple advice to help sway my decisions. Simply put, "Do what's right for the family". That's been stuck in my head ever since and when I think about that, it brings out an inner strength in me. I have been used to getting what I want all my life, but I have since had to make some sacrifices. Mentally the load was especially heavy. That advice has helped to lighten that load and so far, the path I'm walking is turning out pretty good.
I'm re-reading (actually listening on CD) Steinbeck's "The Grapes of Wrath". Tom Joad talks about just putting one foot in front of the other. Makin' through the day. Focus on that. Trust the Lord.
Hey Sal, You know I'm keeping an ear out for some thing. Just don't know about too many things down your way. You may have a bunch of mech stuff on your hear, but from what I've seen it is full of strength from love and kindness. :pray:
David, that's a great pic Thanx it helps. I see a great place for a cabin in the pic, too. When I get in this kind of mood I just blow off steam. I know the Great Spirit will see me thru this, but it's just hard ever since I had my Heart surgery back in 2002. Went from a Union Electrician to to someone no one really wants to hire. Think about this, Who wants someone that can bleed to death because he is on blood thinners, or someone that has a defibrillator and can get shocked at anytime from working to hard... I guess I just think it's time for good things to happen, but in due time for now.
With gas being so high and no matter what everyone needs a car to get around, more so here in the East where there is so many ppl living Jobs are very few. Thanx for the Prayers everyone.
Sal, I've been keeping my eye out for work for you. What's wrong with the car? I can always help you get it going, since that's what I did for a living for about 10 years. Only reason I got out of it is because most of the customers were miserable to deal with.
What about someplace like Home Depot or Lowes to help keep your head above water?

I read this and moved on to another thread but couldn't get you out of my heart. A lot of good advice given by everyone, and I also have learned in the pass 47 years that everyone get a ride on the "merry go round" of life's troubles and at some point your turn ends and another's begin. The Bible say he causes it (the Lord) "to rain on the just and the unjust alike, trials are meant to temper us and make us stronger like the blacksmith temper a piece of metal the Lord allows us to go through the fires of life and makes us stronger. My word to you my brother is stay in the "fire" and allow the lord to do his work, call out to him in time of trouble and he will hear. Love you and I'm praying for you but, their one that stickest closer than a brother and Jesus is his name.

To many times I have went through hard times and felt that no one really cared but I think theres alot of folks on this site that really do and that includes me . Brett, I lived in Tejas for 14 years I loved it, but way to hot in the summer. I lived near Houston. The oil biz was good work I did that, but like I said No big compony would want someone that is going to raise their insurance out of the roof.

Eric, the car would cost more to fix then get an other car, Plus a letter from the insurance compony came and We don't have it any more... It is darkest before the dawn. I'll be here, The arrows are flying great out of both bows. Thanx again for the arrows.

My thoughts are with you brother. I'm a Union Carpenter in the Kansas City area. Times are tuff and it seems when you get some age on you or have medical problems they are not interested in you anymore. With your experience and talents something will happen for you. Hold your head high and keep on shooting your bows, they will help you thru this rough times.
