It's 1pm and in 1-1/2 hours I'll be hitting the road for a 3/2nite mulie hunt trip with the neighbor. First hunt, first archery hunt, first trad hunt, first big game hunt. As you can tell I'm a novice and you have probably seen my many questions posted. Thanks all and I will do my best to put it all together and hopefully find a target. Practice has indicated that I'll be able to hit it but we'll see when I get buck-fever! LOL
The sun, moon and stars lined up and God blessed me with this "Opening Day" trip. My wife just started a new job about 2 months ago and didn't think she could get time off for me to go on the "open" (kids part of our equation) and then wasn't sure she would get a work schedule to coincide w/opening day. Well last week she says I get off early Thur 7/31 and will be off Friday 8/1. Woohoo was my response and here I am letting you know that I'm outa here to chase some antlers in the hot desert of NV. The kid next door will have an option of antlered/less since he is a junior.
