I recieved this in the mail today from a freind and thought some of you would enjoy it. I'm not sure who actually wrote it, but I like it!
THE BOW
"Here I am, a simple tool." A bent piece of wood and a piece of string. I am called a bow and have been here for many years. It seems that I have come to my end.
You have chosen me for your use, but you have not accepted your obligations that go with me. It takes skill, strength, and patience to do my job well. But, it is YOUR skill, strength and patience.
Some men have accepted these obligations and have done well and made me famous and respected. But now you have changed me. I am losing respect from my later cousin, the gun. I have even lost my identity. I don't even look like my former image.
You depend on me only. You want me to do all the work. You want me to think for you. When you fail, I fail. Then you blame me. I am not human. I am just a simple bent stick and a piece of string.
Please don't destroy me or my former image.
I received the same tract. I don't know who wrote it for sure, but I am grateful to the sender, Ed Pritchkites. I just assumed that he wrote it. Sounds like him!
Killdeer
I recieved that same package. Seems like a fine gentleman.
Sounds like every day life. Someday we will all learn to take responcibility for our actions good or bad. We tend to make things more complicated by trying to make them simpler. Kudos to the author for an outstanding peice of wisdom. And by the way some body spell that
"r" word up there for me cause I am confident I spelled it wrong. :goldtooth:
