Title: Lone Wolf handclimber question??

Does anyone know what just the top part of the LoneWolf hand climber weighs ??

Around 4 3/4 pounds with the padded seat cushion.

Man... that was quick.  :D  I'm thinking about purchasing the upper section only, from Lone Wolf @ $104.I have a Ol' Man climber. The base which is carbon fiber weighs about 10 pounds so I was thinking about using the LW upper and the Ol' Man lower. With straps and everything that should weigh in around 15 pounds.That should work.

If you order I would recommend purchasing the stabilizing straps also. Good Luck.

I would try one first. The foot position on the Ol Man may make climbing difficult. Getting a bite on the tree could be a problem.

If you are counting on this for a seat, I would recommend sitting in one first.

Yea, if possible try it first before you buy.

I bought a LW hand climber a couple of years ago. I tried it out a couple of times in my back yard, then sold it right after.

It was light and built strong,,,but it wasn't for me.   :campfire:

It works.  :D  I received the hand climber the other day. The first time trying it was kinda disappointing but today I tried again and it worked well. I figured out to put one arm around the back of the tree and rest my upper chest area on the seat and pull up and it was very easy to climb. The stabilizing straps were included and when you cinch them down the stand combo is solid. It all packs together great and weighs in about 15.5 lbs. That's including the military backpack straps and hip pad.

I've used one for years.  When I hunt out of state I take it in my check through bags so I can use it with any climber bottom.  The seat is great...no side wire to catch my longbow and it lies flat against the tree as I tend to stand most of the time (due to hearing loss).  Doc

If you attach a strap to the front of seat, you can use it as a sit and climb and it works much better. It's safer with the strap too.

It came with the seat strap and I tried it a couple of times but it seems that you have to take "baby steps" when you're climbing.I'm going to give it another try.

I actually used the seat as a stand once. Shot a big Doe that morning from it. I know, crazy.
