The Spirit of Fred Bear has entered my youngest son Tyler's bloodstream!!!!!
Tyler started shooting at 2 1/2 years old and has won many 3-D trophys over the years. Tyler turned 9 years old in April and his "goal" is to shoot his older brother Kevin's 40# 1969 Bear Grizzly "just like Fred Bear". Right now he is alittle "over-bowed" but he is determined to work into it. (and "Dad" insures that he also keeps shooting his 22# Mikuta so his form doesn't suffer and he doesn't develope "bad habits".
One of Tyler's first "real bows" was a model 42 Black Rhino longbow 42" 15# @ 20". (he also has 2 Mikuta longbows)This little Black Rhino is just perfect for getting the "Little Ones" strarted. Tyler and I have decided that we would like other young kids to be able to get an early start like he did.....
SO WE ARE HAVING A DRAWING!!!!!!!!!! :archer:
Good Luck "Little Ones"!!!!!!!!!!
Good stuff right here folks! Way to go Chuck!!!!!!!! :clapper:
:clapper: :clapper:

What an awesome idea! Could you please put Cameron House in for the drawing. Cam is 4 years old and loves going out with his Dad shootin' bows. He would love to have a wood longbow like Dads (instead of the green fiberglass recurve).
"Now remember Dad, don't think too much" Cams quote to me yesterday while out shooting next to the house. Sometimes it takes a 4 year to get you back on track.
Cameron is in!!!!!
Please add 6 year old Arron. Thanks and this is a very generous idea! The bow he has been shooting is way to much for him.
Please add my Sophie. She's Dad's little tag-a-long on anything outdoors.

Chuck, You are more than welcome my friend. The "Little Ones" should be struttin' proud! This weekend is the White Mountain Champion Shoot...not sure if you are going to make the journey again...Doc
Unfortunatly we won't be able to make it again this year.....(I have to work) :( We always had a Great Time!!!!! The White Mountain Traditional Bowhunters are a "first class" group, and they put on a top quality, excellently run shoot, with trophies, prizes, raffles, and a GREAT Meal!!!!!!!!!!
It was certainly worth my family and I making the trip to NewHampshire every year.(for 4 years straight)
If anyone can make it,It's A GREAT WEEKEND of FUN!!!!! :campfire: :archer:
Hey Chuck, you can take Jaime(Two Arrow's daughter) out also. I see she's in but she has a surprise on the way as does her older brother Zach. ;)

Thanks Joe!!!!! I'll try and give you a call Sat. If your gonna be around, maybe I'll run over and B S for a bit.
Woodchucker-
This is mighty kind of you to do. Please add my two girls, Brooklyn and Jesi, ages 3 and 2 respectivly. Both of them love to come out while daddys shooting and watch, and even love to hold on to the handle of my Howard Hill while pulls back a few inches and releases. Everytime they see me heading out into the backyard with my bow, they always ask to "Help Daddy Shoot". Once again, thanks for this, regardless of who gets it.
TTT ONE LAST TIME!!!!!!!!!! :archer:
Please add my sons name, jack tot he drawing. he is 2 1/2 and hope to start him shooting int he basement thsi winter. You guys are great doing all this nice stuff for the kids. i wish i had a talent or resource to share. thanks again.
Please and Kyah Rutledge(3) and Zane Rutledge (5) to the list. This is a real good thing you guys are doing. Some lucky kid is really going to have a great day. Thanks guys.
Jason
I would like to add Evan, 5 and 3/4, so he tells me and Tyler 4.
Brothers to the core, fight, play and cant be without each other. Tyler the younger one is like a minitur Tarzan. runs around in his shorts with my full size bow and quiver on his back. loves to shoot and follows me whenever i pull out my bow. Evan the older one likes to shoot also, buuuut, he wacked his arms recently adn is suffering from Target Panic. Good gosh thats an early age to go trough a very adult syndrome.
Please add my first grandson. His name is Jordan and he just turned 3 this past March. When he is over and I am going out to shoot, he always tags along and tries his best to shoot Pa-Paws bow, he says it's just a lil to big. A very kind gesture sir, I am sure that no matter what, some child will be very happy and get plenty of use out of the bow.

Shipped out two set-ups today. One recurve set and one longbow. The boys will each get a MikeG quiver/armguard, 6 arrows and a glove(two for the brothers) with their bows. Looking forward to some pics of smiling kids.
I delivered the youth arrows to Chuck yesterday. The ball is now in Chucks hands Nathan... :scared:
My Opoligies Gentelmen!!!!! I got tangled up with work over the weekend and yesterday..... :banghead:
I'm going to PM Doc Nathan's address,Tyler is going to have his Grandpa glue the shipping tube tonight, and I just have to glue the points on Nathan's arrows.IT WILL be on the way by this weekend!!!!!
Congratulations Nathan
With the White Mountain Shoot this past weekend, this post kinda slipped off my radar. Chuck sent me your address and the little knife will be on it's way soon. Although, I think your Dad will probably keep it in a safe place for you as it is pretty sharp. Have fun...Doc
I've got the camera ready! Wyatt has no idea it's coming so it will be a total surprise:) :)
UPDATE!!!!!!!!!! :( :help:
Well by now I know everyone is wondering if Nathan got his new bow.....Well we had a "snafu"!!!!!
It seems that when Tyler's Grandpa glued the PVC shipping tube together,he first glued on the end cap, then he glued on the other screw in end cap on,creating a problem.....
Apparently he left the screw cap in the fitting while glueing it on.The air pressure inside the tube forced the glue up into the threads.....GLUEING IT SHUT!!!!!
I now have a beautiful nearly indestructable shipping tube THAT I CAN'T OPEN!!!!!
I have to get another screw cap and I'll get everything out ASAP!!!!!
SORRY NATHAN!!!!!
I shipped the bow out to Nathan on Tuesday,It should be there by the weekend.Mike(Nathans Dad)said that he is having surgery for a hernia on Friday,so he'll have something to look forward to when he gets home.
Let's all say a prayer for Little Nathan's quick recovery so he can get home,Get Well, and shoot his NEW BOW!!!!! :archer:
I shipped the little knife today so both should arrive about same time. Hope this lifts your spirits from surgery Nathan...get well soon :wavey: Doc
Dang! I have been off work since the 26th of July, and I sure would love to have seen the package come through addressed to Jack Guard's house! I hope my sister carrier gave it special special care as she took it out on her route!
These giveaways are SO cool!
Killdeer
Jack should be posting some pics soon Killie.
:jumper:
Posted the pics last night in another thread. Thanks so much for everything.
Just wanted to up date every one, Nathan got his bow friday afternoon after being in he hospital for about 6 1/2 hours for his herina operation.
He was really groggy when we got home but when his brother told him that his bow arrived he was trying to jump off the couch to help open it.
And after I let him hold it,and he wouldnt let me put it away, he just laid there with the bow watching a show.
Then today his knife showed up and he just could not believe it. All he wants to do is go outside and shoot and "cut up some bugs", but he has to wait till maybe monday to shoot.
His surgery went fine and he gets a couple stiches pulled on thursday.
I want to thank everyone, especially woodchucker and tippit for their generous gifts and I'll post some "pratice" pics later.
Glory to GOD for his quick recovery.
