Hey guys, my dad gave me a few broadheads he had laying around for a few decades, any idea what they are? The 3-blade has M-A3-L stamped on it, thanks for the help, Dan.

Next time you take a photo, don't use a white background...there's no definition and you can't see the heads well. Lay the heads on a pastel blanket, or deer hyde, etc.
MA-3 are made by Make-All Tool and Die Co. They also make an MA-2 Two blade.
The middle one is a Herter's Ram-MX 4 Blade, but I can't tell what the third one is. Here's an enhanced photo.

Gopher:
I hate to dispute Geroge's ID, however the middle one is a Black Copperhead "Slicer. The Herters RAM MX has vented blades and are round shouldered not sloped. The one on the right could be a "LaFond's Lighting 2" but its hard to tell from the photo.
Bob
The middle one has vented blades and George the enhanced photo is worse! :bigsmyl: Shawn
thanks guys i'll try to take better photos later, Dan.
LaFond's was my guess for #3, also. I agree with George that #2 is a Herter's. The Copperhead blades were all the same length, meeting at the point.
Shawn...it is lousy for sure 8^). But you can see them better.
I agree with aromakr on #3...a LaFond's Lightning, but #2 is definitely a Herters...I have one in front of me as we speak and it's identical.
George:
Look at the back end of that head its a straight line (i.e. slopped shoulder) not rounded like the Herters. And I don't see any vents in the blades. But I do agree its not a good picture.
Gopher, settle this and re take the pic's with the heads standing up and the shot straight at them.
Bob
Bob, it is hard to see but it is vented 8^). I also have a B.C. slicer in the basement as well. The photo is confusing.
I'll throw my nickel in the fight and say it's a Lafond's, Lighting 4 with an aluminum ferrule..
The one on the far left is definitely a quarter.
My box of Herter's Ram MX broadheads for comparison:

:biglaugh:
George:
You might be correct and Earl that's a penny!!!
Bob
From left to right, I see
1. A Quarter
2. MA-3
3. Herter's Ram X
4. LaFonds Lightning.
I have all three in our collection.
But, what year is the Quarter?
My guess on the quarter is 1968 :biglaugh:
Bob,, I am pretty sure it's a quarter,, But I have to agree its a penny if we are talking value.....
