Well spent a day at the range with my son and his new to him 65' Kodiak Magnum! He shot pretty good for the first time shooting a recurve! He got a little frustrated, I told to just relax and concentrate on his form and not to worry about accuracy that it will come in due time! We had some good quality fun! We kept it short and sweet because I didn't want to tire him out to much!
I thought I'd share a few pics we took!
Dominic's 65' Kodiak Magnum with the custom string raineman made for him. Thanks again Jim!

Good on ya'!! I love shooting and hunting with my 14 year old.
Great pics and story. My son has a 1967 Kodiak Mag as well. It was his first real bow. He is still trying to make Fred Bear proud and get his first deer with it. Enjoy the time you have together !!!

Thanks guys! Something I just thought about, were headed up to the Cabin in Michigan just north of grayling! Were taking our bows of course, this will be kinda of a home coming for his K-Mag! :campfire:
Grayling is a very nice area...looks like you're have some fun. I looked into getting a beginner recurve for my children this weekend. I think for around $90 I can get them into it.
Since they're 6 and 4 it doesn't take much to get them going.
Nice looking Bear bow by the way.

Quality / Bonding Time!! Ya Never can get too much of that!! :archer:
Awesome. Gotta love it!
I agree guys, sure is special time when it just you and the kids doing things everyone enjoys! Seems like the rest of the world doesn't even exist!
Oliver, is sure is beautiful up there! My cabin is in Johannesburg about 30 miles or so away from Grayling! I love it up there and my son loves it even more! We are about 3 miles from the AuSauble River, another beautiful place to hang out on! I am itching so bad to go up, 2 more days of work and were gone baby gone!
Awesome...our family had a cabin on Manistee River Rd off of M-72 I believe, west of Grayling. We went snowmobiling a lot when I was younger. I hadn't been by the cabin in years...about three weeks ago my family drove past the cabin and it was nice to see.
The AuSauble River is supposed to be a great river for fishing and canoeing.
Drive safe and have fun...our week in the area wasn't long enough, that is for sure.
