I will be in Colorado from 8-28 till 9-12 on my annual solo backpack elk bow hunt. I have been hunting south of Kremmling,Co for the past 8 years. I usually pack into the Eagles Nest Wilderness area. Has anyone hunted around the Kremmling area, who could suggest any other areas around there to hunt? The areas I have been going are getting ate up with those darn beetles that are eating up all the pines, and the elk dont like it when the beetles move in. Any suggestions? I want what everyone wants...few people and lots of elk. God Bless the USA.
Can't help with a hunting area, but that whole part of the state has been ruined by the pine beetle. Hope you find a good area to hunt.
