Title: tiller questions
Post by: talkingcabbage on July 23, 2008, 12:43:00 PM
does anyone know of a build-along, link, or just some good tips to really finessing the tiller on a longbow?  i've started a hickory-backed honey locust longbow, about 66" nock to nock with a laminated walnut/honey locust handle.  i've attempted a osage selfbow before, but never a board bow, and have trouble knowing where to start and how to go about getting it floor-tillered and then fine-tuning the tiller.  like i said, i've done it before, but it was by pure luck.  i'd like to hear from those with more experience as to how to do it correctly.

thanks in advance for all replies!  God bless.

very nice john.  thanks a bunch.  i think i'm taking too much off at once.  and it helps to know to
"adjust weight on the side facet and tiller on the top facet"  sounds like i should get that book.  where could i find it?
