Title: bow makin blade
Post by: Bear Heart on July 22, 2008, 09:13:00 PM
I purchased a 12" craftsman bandsaw this week and the blade is a bit dull.  What is the best width for bow making.  I am talking about rough cutting staves and such.

I had a 12" craftsman, 1/2" was the widest blade it would handle. I used a 1/2" 3TPI skip tooth blade.

I got a half inch wood slicer from Highland Woodworking for my 12" craftsman. Cuts beautifully. Anyone know how often you need to resharpen? I've put a couple miles on mine already just trying to figure out the z-splice!
