Price is great. Maybe someone out there has experience with them or knows them. there might still be openings for their elk hunt.

I found it. . . just takes a different route to get there. Sounds very interesting for the right guy. Mule deer and elk fully outfitted for 2500-2800. Special this year deal ONLY.

I have been told the Lemhi Unit has a lot of elk. I have not talked with anyone who has used these outfitters. You might contact the state outfitters organization and see what feedback you get from them. Try www.ioga.org (http://www.ioga.org) Then click on "find an outfitter" or send them an email inquiring on these guys. The Idaho Outfitter and Guide Asso. site doesn't list them as outfitters when you do a search for unit 29...? I emailed them to see if they know of them and any input or recommendation...or not!
Snag's advice is solid. FYI, a legitimate 2-on-1 outfitted public lands hunt in my prime elk part of CO goes for $3600, more or less. This is generally 7 days, with 5 days of actual hunting and pure fair chase (most, if not all, less-than fair chase hunts are conducted on private land and cost a LOT more). So, if this is a legit operation (and I know nothing of them, so can't say yeah or nay), it's a good enough deal to cover your tags if not your travel, etc. As Snag suggests, determining the fair-chase status of any outfitted hunt, or not, is essential. Bottom line: I would go with a known and proven commodity, as verified by former client references with no vested interests. The best trad archery outfitter I know here in CO is booked solid this year, feeling zero pressure to claim a fire sale due to gas prices, etc. There is no such thing as a "bargain" elk hunt (unless you have an "inside" friend). i think it wouldbe a good idea if we could start a forum on outfitters we've used. Possibly have a rating method that would be fair to both sides. I've used Bowhunting Safari Consultants once. I tend to go on trips by myself and tho i'm not at all rich I had no problems on my hunt.(antelope). Everything was as it was supposed to be. Cant check them all out. Had to trust someone else's judgement.
Be very careful . I booked a hunt 7 years ago with a guy named Conrad. BIG mistake. Always talk to as many referals as you can. Not just the successful ones.
I am a DIY elk hunter...doesnt mean I have been a "succesful" elk hunter (if u judge success on kill only) each year. But if I was going to pay the $ they want for an outfitter type hunt I would research the outfitters that Dwight Schuh and MR James (current and past editors of Bowhunter magazine) have used. I have read their articles and their mag is the ONLY bowhunting magazine I subscribe too. I think the world of these two and would trust their recomendations 100%.
Fred Eichler has a outfitting buisness in Colorado. The prices are reasonable i think its about 5k for a 7 day archery hunt. Im planning on going on an elk hunt after I graduate college. And its probably the outfitter I'll use.
