Title: Carbon from a Woodbow?
Post by: Tilbilly on July 21, 2008, 06:56:00 PM
Did a search here and no luck. So out of curiosity I'll ask if anybody is shooting carbon from self and backed bows? If so, what's your setup?

I shoot Beeman MFX 400s out of a 70# 64" Osage selfbow. 100gn inserts & 200gn point weight. Full length shafts & drawing 30" Total arrow weigh is 660gn.
I shoot off my hand & these arrows fly like lazers! Definately one ofmy faster setups too! (Thanks Shaun!  :D  )

I grab carbons for all my wood bows when I want to hit past 15 yards.  Most of the time I'm happy with 15 though when shooting these primitive bows.
